Luke Thomas and Isaac Hutchinson scored late goals as Bristol Rovers beat Burton at the Memorial Stadium.
It was tough on Burton, who recovered well following Chris Martin's first-half opener and looked set to draw when substitute Fabio Tavares equalised but lost their way in a frenetic finale.
Martin had given Rovers a 13th-minute lead with his third goal of the season when he nodded Aston Villa loanee Lino Sousa's cross beyond Brewers goalkeeper Max Crocombe.
The game was halted as stewards dealt with an incident in the stands - later confirmed as alleged racist abuse aimed at Burton defender Udoka Godwin-Malife.
Tavares was denied by Jed Ward as Burton dominated and he eventually got the visitors back on level terms when he headed in from close range after 82 minutes following Charlie Webster's corner.
Thomas put Rovers back in command after 87 minutes, slotting home from close range after picking up Martin's cross, before Hutchinson had the final say in the ninth minute of added time with a low finish.
