You'd imagine Wimmer's signing policy will be based around the income they receive for Lennon Miller.

It seems to be that he's going to move on, quite clearly. He's earned his stripes, he needs to take the next steps in his career.

I hope it's abroad. I hope he goes and tests himself somewhere different.

St Mirren are the only team in the league Hibs have yet to beat this season. Can the capital club complete the full set tonight and guarantee third place? Problem is, David Gray's side have only managed a single goal in three games.

You have to go back to February 2023 for the last Hibernian win in Paisley.

It’s a beautiful evening at a sun-kissed Dens Park, but it’s set to be a nervous one.

The stakes could hardly be higher for both sides. Dundee know a win will secure their Premiership status for another season, but defeat will see them drop into the relegation playoff place.

That’s the carrot for Ross County tonight, though they’ll have to find form from somewhere after seven straight defeats. They have won all three league meetings with Dundee this season, however, and Don Cowie is hoping that gives confidence to a side who have looked desperately short of it in recent weeks.

  6. Miller and Hoilett start for Hibs; St Mirren unchangedpublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 14 May

    St Mirren v Hibs (19.45)

Stephen Robinson names an unchanged starting lineup after the defeat to Dundee United on Saturday.

Captain Mark O'Hara returns to the bench after missing out at Tannadice due to a hamstring injury.

Hibs make two changes after his side suffered only their second league defeat since November at Celtic Park at the weekend.

Lewis Miller comes in for Warren O'Hora at the back, while Junior Hoilett replaces Josh Campbell.

  7. County have 'real clarity' about taskpublished at 19:25 British Summer Time 14 May

    Dundee v Ross County (19:45)

Ross County manager Don Cowie tells BBC Scotland: "It's clear to see how big the game is. Two games to go, two teams near the bottom of the table.

"We know what's at stake. There's real clarity, we need to put a performance on and get the three points we need.

"I've never denied it's a tough run we're on. But the message from me to the players is we've played Dundee three times, and beaten them three times.

"I know it's a completely different game, but in terms of me giving belief to the group, there's real evidence of what they can do."

Motherwell return to a back-five for the visit of Kilmarnock, with Ewan Wilson starting at left wing-back. Harry Paton is the other change, coming into midfield.

Tawanda Maswanhise and Dom Thompson drop to the bench.

Derek McInnes' makes just one change, in what is looking like his penultimate match in charge of Kilmarnock.

He welcomes back captain Kyle Vassell up top, with the striker replacing Bobby Wales in the team. He's on the bench, alongside youngster Cole Burke.

  10. 'Our job in the league is done'published at 19:19 British Summer Time 14 May

    Aberdeen v Celtic (20:00)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers explains his sweeping changes to Sportsound: "I mentioned before the Hibs game that we'd be rotating the squad to get minutes into the legs of some players, so we're in a strong position for the cup final.

"Our job in the league was done. I trust the players to come in and play and on top of that, I'm looking forward to seeing Johnny Kenny play.

"It's always a challenging game at Pittodrie, so that's what we're prepared for."

  11. Six changes for Dons; eight for Celticpublished at 19:18 British Summer Time 14 May

    Aberdeen v Celtic (20:00)

Perhaps with one eye on the Scottish Cup final later this month, both sides have made sweeping changes at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin brings Alexander Jensen and Alfie Dorrington into his back four, while Ante Palaversa is preferred to Dante Polvara in midfield.

Shayden Morris, Kevin Nisbet and Pape Gueye join Topi Keskinen in the Dons' front four.

Champions Celtic make eight changes to the side that beat Hibs on Saturday.

Viljami Sinisalo replaces Kasper Schmeichel in goal and Brendan Rodgers opts for a new-look front three of James Forrest, Hyun-Jun Yang and Johnny Kenny.

  12. Butland back for Rangers thanks to 'different class' attitudepublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 14 May

    Rangers v Dundee United (19:45)

Barry Ferguson has made two changes from the team which thrashed Aberdeen on Sunday in what could be his final game at Ibrox as interim manager.

Jack Butland returns between the sticks in place of Liam Kelly, while Hamza Igamane comes in for the benched Nadim Bajrami.

Ferguson told BBC Scotland it was "always my intention to bring Jack in towards the end of the season".

"I thought tonight was the right time to bring Jack in," he added. "It's been a tough time for him, but one thing about him is his attitude has been different class.

"Hopefully, he'll show his qualities tonight."

Tonight will be the final match at Tynecastle for some of the home fans' favourites.

Jorge Grant and Barrie McKay will both exit, and we will have to wait and see whether Lawrence Shankland remains at the club for next season.

But this evening is much more important for St Johnstone. Simo Valkari says he believes a miracle can happen and as someone very famous once said: "football is a funny old game."

    Hearts v St Johnstone (19:45)

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari tells BBC Scotland he "of course" retains belief his team can beat the drop.

"We did our job on Saturday against Ross County," he says. "This is pretty much the same situation.

"We don't have anything but our belief.

"We have had these games where we know the other results affect our team. It is so important to focus on performance.

"Hearts have quality players, their season has not been as they wanted, but you see the freedom in their play and they want to show their fans on their last home match the free-flowing football.

"It's not going to be easy but that's our situation. We need to face it and we are ready for it."

    Aberdeen v Celtic (20:00)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

With Aberdeen and Celtic set to lock horns in the Scottish Cup final later this month, it is perhaps unsurprising that tonight’s Premiership meeting of the sides at Pittodrie is being viewed by many as a dress rehearsal for that Hampden showdown.

The Dons are fourth in the table, and know a win would secure European football.

A defeat though could potentially set up a nervy last day trip to fifth place Dundee United, who themselves are being hunted down by St Mirren who are sixth.

The Dons will also be looking to try to get some positive momentum going after disappointing defeats at Rangers and St Mirren.

For Celtic, the title may be wrapped up but they are a winning machine and will be travelling north looking to impose maximum damage on their opponents.

  19. Squeaky bottom time mode engagedpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 14 May

    And at the bottom...

    St Johnstone will be relegated:

    · If they lose AND Ross County avoid defeat

    · If they draw AND Ross County win

In any event, should they fail to win, OR if they win and Dundee win, they will finish no higher than 11th so would face a relegation play-off at best.

Ross County know that if they lose to fellow strugglers Dundee on Wednesday, they can finish no higher than 11th so would face a relegation play-off at best.

  20. Race for Europe - The breakdownpublished at 18:56 British Summer Time 14 May

Want to know how the permutations in the top half of the table are shaping up? Well, put down the barbecue tongs and cast your eye over this...

Hibernian will guarantee to finish no lower than fourth and book a Europa League place (although they’re pretty much there already because of goal difference) if:

    · They avoid defeat at St Mirren

    · Dundee United fail to beat Rangers

In this instance, fourth place would guarantee a Europa League place for Hibs because:

    · Scenario A: Celtic win Scottish Cup, so “their” Europa place reverts to the league, 3rd & 4th get Europa (so Hibs qualify), 5th gets Conference League

    · Scenario B: Aberdeen win Scottish Cup so qualify for Europa. So Hibs (whether they finish above or below Aberdeen in 3rd or 4th) also qualify for Europa

Aberdeen will guarantee to finish no lower than fourth (and thus qualify for the Europa League, whether or not they win the Scottish Cup) if:

    · They beat Celtic AND Dundee United fail to win

    · They draw AND Dundee United lose AND St Mirren fail to win

(The Dons can also ensure they’d be in the top five, and qualify for the Conference League at worst, if they win OR if St Mirren fail to win)

Dundee United can also make sure of finishing in the top five (so Conference League at worst) if they win AND St Mirren fail to win. Fifth place gets Europe because:

    · Scenario A: Celtic win Scottish Cup, so “their” Europa place reverts to the league, and with Dundee United no lower than fifth, they’d be in the Conference League at worst

    · Scenario B: Aberdeen win Scottish Cup so qualify for Europa League, with Conference League place moving down to fifth

    Easy peasy.
