Huddersfield have got crosses in but they've got to be scoring from one of them.

Tamworth now have to concentrate - they need to stay on the front foot, not change what they're doing.

You had a feeling if they were going to score it was going to be from that long throw.

From Huddersfield's point of view they'll be disappointed because they know what's coming.

The thing is, if Maxwell doesn't touch it then it's not a goal.

But that throw is almost like an in-swinging corner.

The visitors will be satisfied with that.

They've spent large chunks of that first-half without the ball but done more than enough to warrant being level at the break.

Liam Waldock gave Alfreton the lead after Jake Day's effort deflected into his parth but they couldn't hold on for long.

Matty Platt was given far too much time just two minutes later and his shot deflected past George Willis.

Josh Martin's seen a shot saved by Willis but at the other end Adam Lund has also been off target with another Alfreton chance.

This is Alfreton's ninth FA Cup tie against EFL opposition and they're yet to win one...

Tom Tonks' tomahawk of a long throw broke the deadlock seconds before the interval as Town keeper Chris Maxwell couldn't prevent it creeping under the bar and punched it into his net.

The visitors have had the better openings but it's Tamworth, 16th in the National League, who lead Huddersfield, who have spent the past 13 years in the Premier League and Championship.

Kyle Finn plays a defence splitting pass into Dan Creaney in the box but his first-time effort is tame by his standards and straight at the grateful Chris Maxwell.

Well there we go.

Huddersfield knew what to expect - it's Tamworth's greatest weapon.

Maxwell just doesn't deal with it in the Huddersfield goal - he's not strong enough.

He ends up punching it into his own net.

Matty Pearson passes the ball clean out of play as Huddersfield try to build down the right.

A lot of frustrated looks on and off the pitch, among the Terriers players and staff... and probably fans too, though I can't see them.

He's got to score from there - should've gone for placement rather than power but Singh does well to save with his foot.

A curling cross from the left from Tom Lees causes mayhem in the Tamworth box and the ball drops to Tom Iorpenda who smashes his shot at goal from just outside the six yard box, only for Singh to block with his right foot before the ball is scrambled away by the defence.

Incredible instincts. You can see why he kept 26 clean sheets last season as Tamworth won promotion from National League North.

There's a difference between playing on grass and the artificial one we have here.

I don't think I've ever seen a good game of football on a plastic pitch.

The surface is not conducive to slick, fast flowing football but it's the same for both teams.
