Copenhagen are winless in four meetings with Borussia Dortmund to date (D1 L3). The only teams they have faced more often in major European competition without ever winning are Manchester City (P6 D2 L4) and Chelsea (P6 D2 L4).

This will be the fourth time Borussia Dortmund have faced a Danish team away from home in Europe, while they are unbeaten in the previous three (W1 D2). The only one that came in the UEFA Champions League was a 1-1 draw away to Copenhagen in the 2022-23 group stage.

Borussia Dortmund have only lost one of their eight UEFA Champions League matches under Niko Kovac (W4 D3). Of managers with at least two games in charge of the German side in the competition, this is the lowest loss percentage (13%) of any individual.

Of teams with 15+ games played since the start of the 2022-23 season, Copenhagen are the side with the lowest win percentage in the UEFA Champions League (13% - 2/16). However, they have only lost one of their last four home matches in the competition (W2 D1), with that lone defeat coming against Manchester City (1-3 in February 2024).

Having done so in each of their last three European games, Borussia Dortmund could score 3+ goals in four consecutive games for the first time in their European Cup/UEFA Champions League history.

Borussia Dortmund have scored the joint-most goals in the UEFA Champions League this season (8 – level with Bayern Munich), while they have had more different scorers than any other side (8, excluding own goals). This is already just one fewer than they had in the whole of the 2024-25 edition (9 scorers in 14 games).

Both goals scored by Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League this season have been assisted by crosses (Achouri to Larsson and Huescas to Silva versus Leverkusen), while two of the three goals Borussia Dortmund have conceded in the competition so far have been from crosses (both versus Juventus).

Since the start of last season, Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy is one of only two players – along with Raphina (21) – to have been directly involved in 20+ goals in the UEFA Champions League (20 – 14 goals, six assists). Guirassy has either scored (4) or assisted (4) in seven of his eight away games in the competition for Dortmund.

There’ve only been four instances of a player making three or more line-breaking passes to the same player breaking the defensive line in the UEFA Champions League this season, but two of those have been Borussia Dortmund players: Ramy Bensebaini to Julian Ryerson (4, the most) and Ryerson to Karim Adeyemi (3).

Of players to contest 20+ duels in the UEFA Champions League this season, Copenhagen’s Lukas Lerager has the highest duel success rate in the current edition (87% - 20/23). Indeed, he won all six contested in his previous home match, against Bayer Leverkusen (6/6).
