So tightknit is League Two's top 10 that not a single club has nothing to play for.

For Doncaster Rovers and Port Vale, they want the title. That glitzy trophy that says they were the best of the bunch come the end of the season before ascending to League One in August.

Wanting in on automatic promotion is Bradford City, Walsall and Notts County - all secured a play-off spot but desperate to avoid the tension of the knock-out rounds.

If they do not succeed, they won't know who their potential opponents might be because the two remaining places could belong to any of the teams lying in the midst of sixth and tenth place.

When all this is on offer though, it certainly does make final day that bit more thrilling doesn't it?

  3. Blues can bolster best EFL points benchmarkpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 3 May

The main undecided story in League One is the final play-off place, but there are still some finer details to be decided in the third tier.

The biggest question remains what record points tally Birmingham City will set for sides of the future to chase.

Blues broke the previous record for most points in an EFL season on Tuesday against Blackpool, and can move the needle again this afternoon. A win away at already-relegated Cambridge will take Chris Davies' side to a staggering 111.

Wycombe and Stockport, both already guaranteed a play-off position meet in Buckinghamshire, and the hosts will be looking to overhaul County and finish third.

Charlton have an outside chance of leapfrogging both Wycombe and Stockport into third, but would need a draw at Adams Park coupled with a seven-goal victory over Burton to nick that third-place.

We just have the final play-off spot to decide in League One today.

It's a pretty simple scenario, a win for Leyton Orient will secure their sixth place but anything less would see Reading nip in by bettering the O's result.

There could also be some movement between the teams in third, fourth and fifth position depending on the outcomes of the games, particularly the meeting between Wycombe and Stockport while Charlton host Burton.

Won their past five games, no-one has taken more points in their past six and guaranteed their highest EFL finish since 2014 but there is still one more target for Leyton Orient - qualifying for the play-offs.

In the space of five months Richie Wellens has taken the Os from the relegation zone to the play-off places with a chance to reach League One's top six for the first time since 2014 when they went on to lose on penalties to Rotherham in the final at Wembley.

With the division's top scorer Charlie Kelman blazing a trail with 21 goals a run of just one defeat from their past nine outings has seen Wellens' side time their run almost to perfection but they need a win in West Yorkshire today to secure sixth place.

Perhaps fortunately for Orient they come up against a Huddersfield side on a five-match losing streak with only Bristol Rovers on a worse run across their past six games.

Having strengthened considerably in the January transfer window with the notable signings of Joe Taylor and Dion Charles the Terriers have failed spectacularly to maintain their promotion challenge but could they be the ones to upset the Os season?

  9. Royals aim for double celebrationpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 3 May

    Reading v Barnsley (15:00 BST)

It's already been a good day for Reading and their supporters with this morning's news their ownership issues appear to be at an end with former Wycombe owner Rob Couhig agreeing a deal to buy the club from Dai Yongge.

Given their short-term future has been in doubt right up until today, for the Royals to be at this stage of the season with a realistic chance of qualifying for the League One play-offs is an achievement in itself.

Alongside their off-field issues they also saw boss Ruben Selles jump ship to Hull City in December when they were in sixth place.

Noel Hunt has managed to maintain their challenge and they arrive on the final day needing to better Leyton Orient's result at Huddersfield to sneak into the play-off places.

Opponents Barnsley are on course for their lowest EFL finish since 2005 with just one win from their past nine games and a solitary victory since Darrell Clarke was sacked in March.

Conor Hourihane has been handed the full-time role as head coach and with more points on the road than at home they will be looking to put a spanner in the Reading works this afternoon.
