Two of League Two's newly promoted sides meet at Boundary Park this afternoon as Oldham host Barnet.

Both sides have seemed to struggle on home turf but have found form on their travels and are on 13 points from their opening nine games.

The Latics struggled to acclimatise to life in League Two failing to pick up a win in their opening six league games, before finding their feet and taking maximum points from their past three fixtures, they now sit in a comfortable 11th place.

Barnet sit just two places below them in 13th and have had an inconsistent start to their campaign but now find themselves in good form having won their past two.

It's taken time for both of League Two's new sides to find their feet but with 14 goals scored in the past five meetings between the two clubs, it's an opportunity for both sides to fire themselves into a play-off spot.

  13. Crewe look to halt slump against Magpiespublished at 12:26 BST 27 September

Having been the only team to win their first four matches of the League Two season, Crewe Alexandra have since gone five without victory.

Notts County sit five places above them in seventh in the table, though the teams are only separate by one point.

The issue for the Magpies has been their poor away form. They have lost four out of their last six on the road in all competitions.

Martin Paterson's side have also lost each of their last four away league games at Gresty Road without scoring.

But, in Matthew Dennis, they do have one of the division's most in-form strikers, who has netted six times in eight league games this season.

Gillingham are the only team in the division yet to lose this season and a win against Harrogate today will maintain their place at the top. But any slip up and Salford and Walsall could overtake them.

At the bottom, managerless Cheltenham, Newport and Shrewsbury are all searching for just their second wins of the campaign.

  15. Stevenage can go top with a winpublished at 12:22 BST 27 September

League One high-fliers Stevenage travel to Leyton Orient this lunchtime knowing that a win would temporarily take them top and potentially keep them there depending on how Bradford City get on later today.

The Boro have four wins and just one loss in their past six games and after eight matches are just a point behind league leaders Bradford.

Home side Orient sit 14th in the table and have three losses and two wins in the past six matches, last Saturday they lost 2-1 away at Reading.

Away from this season's form, the O's have lost just four of their 22 football league games against Stevenage, keeping a clean sheet in 16 of those matches during that time.

Both teams have found the net in just one of the last 12 league meetings, a 2-2 draw in March 2022. Hopefully we see some goals today!

  16. Struggling Wycombe travel to top 10 Wimbledonpublished at 12:20 BST 27 September

Seven points separate Wimbledon and Wycombe after nine games in League One this season.

The Dons sit ninth in the table and come into this game having won their past two matches.

Wycombe have struggled to get going so far, picking up eight points which sees them take up 18th in the league standings and just one point off the bottom four.

Wimbledon have lost just one of their 13 football league games against Wycombe, remaining unbeaten on home soil across that time.

The Chairboys have one win in their last 13 away league games in London, with that victory coming at Charlton Athletic in January 2022.
