    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee United

    It's lively at Rugby Park.

Killie captain Kyle Vassell is presented with another chance. He cuts back onto his left and curls the shot a few inches over.

    Hearts 0-0 Ross County

Teenage right-back Adam Forrester has had some early touches on his debut for Hearts and does not look out of place.

Another effort from the hosts with Cammy Devlin striking low and drawing a save from Ross Laidlaw.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee United

Now Dundee United have a chance. Worked straight through the middle, David Babunski slips in Louis Moult on the left.

Inexplicably, he cuts it back to Babunski instead of shooting and a surprised Babunski rolls his effort wide from near the penalty spot.

  5. Off the line!published at 15:07 British Summer Time 28 September

    Hearts 0-0 Ross County

    How did that stay out?

County goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw can only palm a shot from Alan Forrest and Lawrence Shankland pinches the ball just next to the byeline and tees up Forrest, whose shot is blocked by Ryan Leak.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee United

A chance for Kilmarnock as they work a free-kick quickly. Marley Watkins pulls it back to Kyle Vassell and his goal-bound shot is blocked behind.

The corner is flicked on at the front post and Watkins almost gets a touch to it, but United are able to clear.

    Kilmarnock v Dundee United (15:00)

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Rugby Park

The demands of Europe clearly took a toll on Kilmarnock but they've had a bit of breathing space of late and will now look to register a first league win to get their campaign up and running.

United aim to get back on track after tight back-to back losses.

Jim Goodwin will be relatively pleased with their league start and will hope the changes up front, with Louis Moult and Sam Dalby starting, deliver more threat.

  11. Hearts go back to tried and testedpublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 28 September

    Hearts v Ross County (15:00)

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tynecastle

There are dark clouds over Tynecastle and that's not just an indication there may be rain falling this afternoon.

Liam Fox will know exactly what the fans are looking for and the fact none of the club's summer recruits start is an indication he wants to go back to the tried and trusted from last season.

Don Cowie, himself a former Jambo, will know if his County team start well then the atmosphere could get ugly.

  12. Dons aim for a dozenpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 28 September

    Dundee v Aberdeen (15:00)

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Dens Park

This was the last ground on which Aberdeen lost a league game - or any match over 90 minutes, in fact. Dundee beat them 1-0 back in March and since then the Dons have been on a roll.

That's 21 games undefeated - if you discount losing on penalties after a 3-3 draw with Celtic in the League Cup semi-final. Of that number, Jimmy Thelin has claimed 11 straight wins since taking over at Pittodrie.

There is a big travelling support here at Dens desperate for the dozen. That would take Aberdeen three points clear at the top of the table, for a few hours at least, with Celtic not kicking off down the road in Perth until 17:45.

  13. Kettlewell wants to keep unbeaten home run intactpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 28 September

    Motherwell v St Mirren (15:00)

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "I don't believe in arrogance or ego. I believe in setting out the next task which is a pretty significant one.

"We've got to embrace the next challenge. We're undefeated since the start of the season here and I want to come out of here with same statistic in place.

"It's another two teams who are very evenly matched. It was the same last season and I don't see that being any different today.

"We played St Mirren almost a year ago to the day on this pitch, I thought we completely outplayed them and they beat us 1-0.

"I'd take a little bit less of a performance for the ultimate outcome, which is the three points."

  14. 'We can cause Kilmarnock problems'published at 14:50 British Summer Time 28 September

    Kilmarnock v Dundee United (15:00)

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Sportsound: "We've finished games strongly in recent weeks, particularly against Motherwell when we carried more of an attacking threat [with Moult and Dalby].

"We think we can cause Kilmarnock problems playing that way, if we get wide and put crosses into the box.

"Trapanovski isn't here today, he's picked up a slight muscle injury during training. That's a disappointing one for us after his good start.

"We're sitting fourth and we're very happy with the start to the campaign."

    Hearts v Ross County (15:00)

Hearts have had a shocking start to the season, bottom of the table and looking to snap an eight-game losing streak.

Today looks like a good chance to lift the gloom.

Ross County are winless in their past 19 away league games (D7 L12) and Hearts have lost just one of their 15 top-flight home games against the Dingwall side.

  16. Fox 'didn't expect to be here'published at 14:47 British Summer Time 28 September

    Hearts v Ross County (15:00)

Hearts interim manager Liam Fox tells BBC Sportsound: "I definitely didn't expect to be here. It's been a challenging week.

"We'll attack what's in front of us. We'll do our very best to get the three points.

"I can't fault [the players'] attitude and application. [Adam Forrester is] there on merit. You only make one debut so I've asked the senior players round about him to look after him, to help him."

Things you love to see in a media room! This tray of Empire Biscuits didn't last long I can tell you.

On the pitch, history will tell you this game is likely to be close. Last season these sides played out two draws, 0-0 and 1-1, while St Mirren won the other league match 1-0. It was the same scoreline in the League Cup.

  18. Ebiye in for Motherwell, St Mirren make two changespublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 28 September

    Motherwell v St Mirren (15:00)

Stuart Kettlewell makes one change to the side that beat Dundee United to reach the Scottish League Cup semi-finals last weekend.

Moses Ebiye replaces Tawanda Maswanhise in attack and Stephen O'Donnell is fit enough to start despite a shoulder issue. Tony Watt also returns to the bench.

Both changes for the visitors come in the wing-back positions.

Scott Tanser comes in for Jaden Brown on the left and Elvis Bwomono replaces Shaun Rooney on the right. Former Fir Park hero Kevin van Veen makes the St Mirren bench.

    Kilmarnock v Dundee United (15:00)

Is today the day Kilmarnock register their first Premiership win of the season?

The Ayrshire side have won their last two Scottish Premiership games against Dundee United and United have only won once in their last nine top flight visits to Rugby Park (D3 L5) - a 4-2 success in May 2016.

United are striving to avoid three defeats on the bounce after a three-match winning streak.

  20. McInnes looks for home comfortpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 28 September

    Kilmarnock v Dundee United (15:00)

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes tells Sportsound: "You can bang on about the positives, but all that's gone. It's about what happens from now on in.

"At St Mirren, the performance was terrific with 10 men. If the officials do their job on the day, it makes our task easier. It felt like a win, getting something from the game.

"The two home games we've had, we've not capitalised. It's important we show our strength at home.

"It's been stop-start, but the next two games have been looked at in isolation and we need a positive result."
