He's found the net now though!

Ray Houghton scoring against Italy in the World Cup. I'm sure his celebration also inspired Robbie Keane to replicate a more athletic version years later.

    Italy 1-1 Germany

Not a lot happening in this one. Matteo Politano had a chance for Italy but sent it wide.

Italy make a couple of changes as they look to try and regain the lead with Samuele Ricci and Raoul Bellanova sent on.

Spain are piling on the pressure here but to no avail just yet.

My biggest joyful memory is as a 14 year old watching Hereford United beating Newcastle United in the 4th round of the FA Cup. Ronnie Radford's screamer and running on to the pitch at the end of the match. We were sat on crates behind the goal as the ground was packed! Happy days!!!

    Netherlands 2-1 Spain

The hosts break free from relentless Spanish pressure and counter at rapid pace.

Cody Gakpo does a trademark cut inside from the left and shoots with his right but it is turned around the post by Unai Simon.

    Denmark 0-0 Portugal

Nuno Mendes gets the better of his marker down the left and races clear but Denmark do well on the cover and Portugal get a corner.

The ball is then floated into the box but skipper Cristiano Ronaldo can't get enough on it to nod it towards goal.

    Netherlands 2-1 Spain

It's nip and tuck between these two but we've not seen any further big chances since the Tijjani Reinders goal.

In case you missed it he put the Netherlands ahead just 39 seconds after the restart.

  16. Postpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Croatia 2-0 France

Better from France as Kylian Mbappe plays the ball through the Croatia defence, Ousmane Dembele shows some good footwork to open up a bit of space but then plants his shot in the sidenetting.

  17. CLOSE!published at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Denmark 0-0 Portugal

A sweeping move from the Danes brings about the best chance of the game so far.

Christian Eriksen gathers a loose ball and slides a pass to the right for the on-rushing Gustav Isaksen, but his left footed drive is met once again by a strong Diogo Costa right hand.

    Croatia 2-0 France

France are seeing lots of the ball but are just really struggling to break down this Croatia defence.

  19. Postpublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Denmark 0-0 Portugal

Back under way again now and Denmark get straight on the attack.

Joakim Maehle tries to burst down the left but he is held up by Diogo Dalot and is forced to pass back to the halfway line.
