  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

He whacks a shot from distance but it kisses the crossbar its way behind.

  12. goal

GOAL - Croatia 2-0 Francepublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Ivan Perisic (45+1 mins)

    A second for Croatia!

Ivan Perisic is having a great game. He got the assist for the first and scores the second, a well-taken first-time strike into the bottom corner.

    Not bad for a 36-year-old.

  13. Postpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Italy 1-0 Germany

Nadiem Amiri is not far off with a free-kick for Germany, whipping the ball over the wall but just over the crossbar as well.

  14. Postpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Denmark 0-0 Portugal

Still no opener but that's not for the want of trying.

Denmark go close again but Diogo Costa manages to fall on the ball to avoid it going over the line from a goalmouth scramble.

  15. Postpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Italy 1-0 Germany

This will be frustrating for Germany because they've had plenty of possession but Italy are defending well and with numbers as half time approaches.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Netherlands 1-1 Spain

Big moment for Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen as he replaces Pau Cubarsi in the centre of the Spain defence.

The Cherries man is on for his senior international debut against the country where he was born.

  17. Postpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Netherlands 1-1 Spain

Despite talk of "parking the bus" from Dutch boss Ronald Koeman before the game the Netherlands have given it a right go so far.

They're edging the possession stats (57% to 43%) and attempted shots (5 to 4) against Spain.

  18. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Croatia 1-0 France

Dominik Livakovic is a bit too casual with the ball. The Croatia goalkeeper has Ousmane Dembele charging down on him but coolly turns towards his own goal before clearing.

If he got that wrong it would have been a needlessly easy goal given to France.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Netherlands 1-1 Spain

    Big save Unai Simon.

Dutch goalscorer Cody Gakpo tries to turn provider for Memphis Depay with a great pass but the Corinthians forward can't get his shot past Simon.

  20. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March

    Denmark 0-0 Portugal

No goals yet in this one but it is end to end and both sides are creating plenty of opportunities.

Mika Biereth does well to spin in the box and fire at goal but he is denied by a sprawling save from Diogo Costa.
