Northern Ireland defender Laura Rafferty insists her side are relishing the pressure before their final Euro 2025 qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Tanya Oxtoby's side will claim second place in the group with a victory at Windsor Park, which could potentially see them secure a seeded spot for the play-off draw.

And Rafferty believes Northern Ireland will use their experience of playing in previous high-pressure games to their advantage.

"We’ve been in these positions before, it is not new to us, and we look forward to the occasion," she told BBC Sport NI.

"It is such a quick turnaround, but we have played them before and we have that homework done, so it’s just about adding everything up.

Northern Ireland produced an impressive second-half performance to defeat Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1 and collect their first win of Euro 2025 qualifying.

Lauren Wade's 54th-minute opener was cancelled out by Marija Milinkovic.

Megan Bell fired home on the hour mark to restore the lead for NI, who were without unwell manager Tanya Oxtoby.

Simone Magill extended the advantage on 68 minutes to secure a morale-boosting victory.

The result follows Friday's disappointing 0-0 draw with Malta at Windsor Park, but this was a much-improved performance from NI.

In the absence of Australian Oxtoby the team were led by coach Stuart McLaren, who only worked with the players for the first time last week.

Northern Ireland boss Tanya Oxtoby wants a fast start from her side in their final Euro 2025 qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday night.

Both sides know a win at Windsor Park will guarantee the second place in the group which brings with it the chance of securing a seeded place in the play-offs in October.

With so much at stake, Oxtoby wants her side to be proactive from kick-off.

"We’re looking to start on the front foot, and we need to set the tone," she told BBC Sport NI.

"We need a bit of control, we’re at home and we don’t want it being very transitional."
