    Lincoln 0-0 Stevenage

    What a let-off for Stevenage.

A Charlie Goode long throw from the Boro right is scrambled clear and City break at pace.

Tendayi Darikwa slots the ball through for Rob Street to race through on goal but though his low shot beats Filip Marschall in the Boro goal, he drags his effort past the far post too.

Can the leaders make the Imps pay for this early profligacy?

  2. Postpublished at 12:43 BST

    Cambridge 1-0 Bromley

Out of nowhere Bromley test Jake Eastwood as Ben Thompson's shot is saved by the Cambridge keeper.

Shayne Lavery then with a chance to make it two but his tame effort is saved by the legs of Sam Long.

  3. 'Great opportunity for Lincoln'published at 12:41 BST

    Lincoln 0-0 Stevenage

    Gavin Gordon
Former Lincoln striker on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

A great opportunity again for Lincoln with Ben House.

This is what Lincoln need to do, they need to put pressure on the Stevenage back line, and apply it before they have even got into the game.

  4. Postpublished at 12:40 BST

    Lincoln 0-0 Stevenage

A long-throw from the City left causes havoc in the Stevenage box and breaks to Rob Street in the box but his first-time effort with his right peg flies past the angle of post and bar.

    All Lincoln so far.

  5. Postpublished at 12:36 BST

    Lincoln 0-0 Stevenage

Another glimpse of goal for Ben House who gets on the end of a knock-down from Rob Street on the edge of the Boro box but can only drag a bobbled effort wide of that same near post.

Radar slightly off for the four-goal frontman thus far.

  6. Postpublished at 12:34 BST

    Lincoln 0-0 Stevenage

The Imps have begun on the front-foot at the LNER Stadium, possibly still stinging from being chinned in the 94th minute of their most recent home game against Exeter.

That was their first defeat in nine games, and Michael Skubala will be keen to start another run today.

Adam Reach has already been lively down the left but his cut-back to Ben House is slammed a couple of yards wide of the near post by the City forward.

    Shayne Lavery (2 mins)

What a start for the U's.

First goal of the afternoon as Kylian Kouassi's strike comes off Shayne Lavery as he was on the floor to put Cambridge ahead. It's a strange one but they won't care.

It's been a spirited start from the U's.

Oldham manager Mickey Mellon names the same starting XI that drew against Barrow last week. Oli Hammond and Charlie Olson miss out while Jake Leake and Kieron Morris are named among the substitutes.

It is one in one out for Darren Ferguson's Peterborough from the side that lost 2-1 at Bolton last time out with Harvey Mills replacing Jacob Mendy.

  14. Can Ammies stop the rot with Borini boost?published at 12:21 BST

    Salford v Oldham (12:30 BST)

    Fabio BoriniImage source, Getty Images

Bet Salford fans did not expect to wake up to the news that a former Premier League striker will be available to play today. Well that certainly is the case after former Liverpool and Sunderland striker Fabio Borini signed yesterday on a deal until January.

The 34-year-old, who left Italian side Sampdoria in the summer, has been training with Salford for the past month and is available today.

The Ammies sit a point outside the play-off places but go into this game having lost their past three league matches, their worst run since March. They last suffered four defeats in a row in April last year.

Boss Karl Robinson has come up against Oldham manager Micky Mellon twice in the EFL and has come out on top in both occasions. He won 1-0 with MK Dons versus Shrewsbury in 2016, and 3-0 with Oxford United against Tranmere in 2019. Will he make it three from three today?

No wins in the past three for Oldham (D2, L1) but they have suffered defeat just the once on the road so far this season.

Defensively the Latics are sound though. They have kept the most clean sheets in League Two this season (six) but Mellon will be well aware that it’s at the other end of the pitch too. He’ll want more from his side after their drab 0-0 against Barrow last time out.

  15. A chance to steal a marchpublished at 12:19 BST

    Cambridge v Bromley (12:30 BST)

    Michael CheekImage source, Rex Features

Although these two sides met in last season’s EFL Trophy, this will be the first Football League meeting between 11th-placed Cambridge and 10th-placed Bromley. With just goal difference separating both clubs, this is a big chance to break into the League Two play-off places ahead of the later games.

Cambridge will be looking to get back on form after their four-game unbeaten streak came to an end last week at strugglers Shrewsbury.

The U’s do have a good record recent record at home though having won three of their past four at the Cledara Abbey Stadium.

Michael Cheek's goal last week at Crewe was enough for Bromley to pick up their first win in six league games.

Interestingly, the Ravens have had more shots than any other side so far in League Two this season (178), with their average of 14.8 shots per game up from 10.8 per game last season.

    Burton v Peterborough (12:30 BST)

Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson admitted his future is very much on the line as he tries to ignite a stuttering season against Burton in the lunchtime kick-off.

“It’s not rocket science this game of football," the Posh boss told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire this week.

"It is simple, and especially in terms of my job as a manager. If I don’t start winning games, the inevitable is going to happen.”

Posh have won two league games so far this season but after back-to-back wins in September they have slumped again with defeats against Lincoln and Bolton.

Victory against Burton would be a start but it may be no easy task after both Burton and rock bottom Peterborough met Bolton last time out.

Burton fared best beating the Trotters 3-0 at home last weekend, while Posh lost 2-1 away on 4 October, so on that basis a Burton side unbeaten in their past three may be nudging Fergie Jr a step nearer the exit door.

  17. Stevenage Revelling in brilliant startpublished at 12:15 BST

    Lincoln v Stevenage (12:30 BST)

Alex Revell celebrates the win over LutonImage source, Rex Features

Big one, this, as sixth-placed Lincoln welcome perhaps slightly surprising leaders Stevenage to begin the day’s League One action in style.

The top three remained unchanged during the international break, though the Imps did slip two places as Stockport and AFC Wimbledon picked up points while they were out of action.

City are seeking to bounce back from their dramatic 1-0 defeat by Exeter last time out, while Boro are aiming for a fourth straight league win, having beaten Luton 2-0 in their derby clash on 4 October.

Alex Revell’s men might be flying high but they do have a poor recent record against Lincoln, who have taken 15 points from the past eight meetings, and kept a clean sheet in each of the past three.

Stevenage have however made their best ever start to an EFL season, with 25 points and just one defeat in their opening 10 games – five of the past six teams to start this well have been promoted.

Today’s result might go a long way to determining whether they’ll add to that number come May.

Whisper it, but the League Two table looks like it might just be setting up for another absorbing race, for the title, the play-offs and survival.

Salford, Cambridge and Bromley could all move into the play-off places this lunchtime, while at 15:00 BST Walsall will seek to stay top of the pile as they welcome Barrow.

At the other end, we're in for a ding-dong basement battle as rock-bottom Cheltenham head to second-bottom Newport, while third-bottom Shrewsbury host fourth-bottom Crawley.

The international break ended with a bang on Thursday night as Bolton pinched two stoppage-time goals at Huddersfield to jump up to seventh in League One, but how far adrift might they be come teatime today?

Leaders Stevenage are back in action at sixth-placed Lincoln this lunchtime, while basement-boys Peterborough head to fifth-bottom Burton in our other early offering.

Later we'll see if Bradford can maintain their fast start to the season in the Yorkshire derby against Barnsley, and Cardiff return to action with a home game against Reading.

At the other end of the table, Blackpool welcome Wycombe, while Luton, now led by Jack Wilshere, entertain Mansfield.
