Jack Wilshere's first half-time team talk as a permanent manager will not be an easy one...

Both sides spurned chances before Nahki Wells saw a penalty for the Hatters brilliantly saved by Stags keeper Liam Roberts, and moments later Rhys Oates curled a delightful opening goal to give the visitors a half-time lead.

The Stag fans are singing at Jack Wilshere that he is about to join the unemployment queue.

They are in good voice as they sing,'You're getting sacked in the morning'.

I think they might be a bit early with that one.

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:43 BST

    Plymouth 1-0 AFC Wimbledon

Another big shout from the home side for a penalty but again waved away as Joe Edwards goes down under a challenge from Dons captain Jake Reeves.

Ben Close has given Doncaster a 1-0 lead over Northampton, and Nathan Lowe has done the same for Stockport against Exeter City at Edgeley Park where they kicked off 15 minutes late.

It is goalless in the remainder of the League One fixtures with Blackpool-Wycombe, Rotherham-Leyton Orient and Wigan-Port Vale all locked in an arm wrestle at 0-0 approaching half-time.

  7. goal

GOAL: Luton 0-1 Mansfieldpublished at 15:40 BST

    Rhys Oates (40 mins)

Not easy, this management lark, is it Jack...?

Rhys Oates picks up a loose pass from Luton's Gideon Kodua up on the right, drives inside, lines a left-footed shot up and curls into the far top corner past the diving Josh Keeley to send the travelling fans wild.

Luton have missed a penalty, but the Stags have had openings of their own and probably deserve to be ahead.

The away fans are singing 'sacked in the morning' to the rookie boss Wilshere. Pretty harsh, but after Ange Postecoglou's departure earlier this afternoon, you never know anymore in football.

  8. RED CARD Remeao Hutton (Gillingham)published at 15:39 BST

    Grimsby 0-0 Gillingham

    Gillingham are down to 10-men.

Remeao Hutton is shown a straight red card for bringing down Jaze Kabia after he was chased down by the Grimsby striker.

  9. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 0-1 Readingpublished at 15:39 BST

    Lewis Wing (38 mins)

    Now then.

If they are to win today, Cardiff will have to come from behind again...

We said he is known as Lewis Ping, and this why, another glorious strike into the bottom corner from outside the box from Lewis Wing has fourth-bottom Reading ahead after a near lay-off from Matt Ritchie.

  10. 'Luton have had too much time'published at 15:35 BST

    Luton 0-0 Mansfield

    Paul Cox
Ex-Mansfield manager on BBC Radio Nottingham

From where we are that was definitely a penalty.

That has been coming, Luton have had too much time around the box.

  11. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:35 BST

    Luton 0-0 Mansfield

The Jack Wilshere era is not quite off and running yet.

The recalled Nahki Wells has seen a penalty brilliantly saved by Stags keeper Liam Roberts, diving to his right to get a strong hand to the ball.

The former Millwall stopper will have enjoyed that at the Kenny.

  12. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:35 BST

    Plymouth 1-0 AFC Wimbledon

Plymouth want a penalty as Brendan Wiredu is felled by Omar Bugiel in the area but referee Matt Cortlett sees it differently to most in the ground and awards a free-kick the other way.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:34 BST

    Plymouth 1-0 AFC Wimbledon

Patrick Bauer is booked for lunging into a challenge and getting more of Malachi Boateng than he did the ball.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:33 BST

    Grimsby 0-0 Gillingham

First booking of the game is picked up by Grimsby striker Jaze Kabia for a foul on Sam Gale.

The home side are enjoying more of the ball but nothing to show for it so far.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:32 BST

    Cardiff 0-0 Reading

Nearly a nightmare for the hosts as Gabriel Osho's tame backpass is pounced on by Paddy Lane, only for keeper Nathan Trott to bail him out with a good save.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:30 BST

    Cardiff 0-0 Reading

Yousef Salech spins on the edge of the box and unleashes a shot which fizzes just over the returning Jack Stevens' bar.

Salech almost got on the end of a fine cross from Omari Kellyman moments later too.

    Better from the Bluebirds.

  17. League Two round uppublished at 15:30 BST

    #bbcefl

League leaders Walsall trail Barrow at home. Elliot Newby with the goal there.

A Harry Anderson double has helped Colchester come from behind to lead Harrogate 2-1.

Will Collar has broken the deadlock at Stadium MK to give MK Dons the lead against Crewe.

Big goal at the bottom of the table as Luke Young has done the same for Cheltenham at Newport.

Dilan Markanday has equalised for Chesterfield against Fleetwood to make it 1-1.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:28 BST

    Plymouth 1-0 AFC Wimbledon

Dons right back Nathan Aslimwe goes into the book for a foul on Malachi Boateng.

  19. 'Luton look sharp'published at 15:27 BST

    Luton 0-0 Mansfield

    Paul Cox
Ex-Mansfield manager on BBC Radio Nottingham

Luton do look sharp and Lamine Fanne has impressed me so far.

Mansfield need to get some more possession, and try and get a grip of the game.

For the neutral this is a great game, both teams are going for each other.

  20. Postpublished at 15:25 BST

    Plymouth 1-0 AFC Wimbledon

Wimbledon are pressing hard for an equaliser here, peppering the box with some dangerous crosses.

Brendan Wiredu wins a free-kick just outside the box but Marcus Browne send an effort into the wall.
