  1. 'That short corner is always going to be on'published at 21:07 BST 12 September

    West Ham 1-3 Arsenal

    Emma Byrne
Former Arsenal and Brighton goalkeeper on Sky Sports

West Ham are going to have to do better with these Arsenal corners.

They have a lot of zonal players so that short corner option is always going to be on at the minute and they are always going to be outnumbered in the box.

  2. Postpublished at 21:06 BST 12 September

    Man City 2-1 Brighton

It's keep ball from City now.

Having given her side the lead Yui Hasegawa has returned to her regular role of midfield metronome to dictate and slow the play to her team's liking.

  3. 'Reid has the signs of a really confident player'published at 21:06 BST 12 September

    West Ham 1-3 Arsenal

    Emma Byrne
Former Arsenal and Brighton goalkeeper on Sky Sports

Katie Reid has done really well tonight. She offers to receive all the time, no matter where she is and how much pressure she is under, which is the sign of a really confident player. She is obviously someone that Renee Slegers wants to develop and bring on.

She is high up there for the most progressive passes in the game, that's really pleasing to see. That's what you want to see from your centre-backs, especially in such a ball-playing team like Arsenal.

  4. Postpublished at 21:05 BST 12 September

    Man City 2-1 Brighton

I know it's early doors but that goal could prove huge for Man City's season.

If they have any hope of keeping up with the runaway train that is Chelsea, they have to be winning tricky games like this.

    West Ham 1-2 Arsenal

Olivia Smith is causing West Ham problems and playing a part in the home side sitting back a lot more as her ball in is knocked behind for a corner.

GOAL - Man City 2-1 Brightonpublished at 21:01 BST 12 September

    Yui Hasegawa (74 mins)

    City take the lead!

Yui Hasegawa ghosts in behind the Brighton back line, timing her run perfectly to collect a through ball from Japan teammate Aoba Fujino, before slotting a low finish beyond an on-rushing Chiamaka Nnadozie.

  7. Postpublished at 20:59 BST 12 September

    Man City 1-1 Brighton

Man City dropped points in 9 of their 22 league games last year as they ended up finishing fourth, 17 points off eventual champions Chelsea.

They can hardly afford to start this new season dropping points from each of their first two games.

  8. 'West Ham have made straight substitutional swaps'published at 20:59 BST 12 September

    West Ham 1-3 Arsenal

    Emma Byrne
Former Arsenal and Brighton goalkeeper on Sky Sports

West Ham have pretty much made straight substitutional swaps here.

I'm interested to see if it will allow Riko Ueki to play a little higher, or even Viviane Asseyi.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:58 BST 12 September

    West Ham 1-3 Arsenal

West Ham send on Ines Belloumou for Verena Hanshaw and Seraina Piubel for Shekiera Martinez.

They've a big uphill task ahead of them, with the added danger of Olivia Smith on the pitch now too.

  10. Postpublished at 20:56 BST 12 September

    Man City 1-1 Brighton

While it's been tough going at times in this second half Brighton are still looking potent on the counter.

Substitute Kiko Seike has just forced Khiara Keating into a sharpp stop at her near post.

Olivia Smith to come on and score. You heard it here first.

  12. 'Foord jumped really well and finished it off nicely'published at 20:55 BST 12 September

    West Ham 1-3 Arsenal

    Emma Byrne
Former Arsenal and Brighton goalkeeper on Sky Sports

A great goal and a great header from Caitlin Foord! Arsenal went for the short corner again, they seem to have recognised that's what they need to drag the West Ham players out of position. Foord jumped really well and finished it off nicely.

It was a great ball in from Mariona Caldentey as well. She just floated it over there and did really well to direct it.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:55 BST 12 September

    West Ham 1-2 Arsenal

Arsenal make a change as £1m forward Olivia Smith is sent on for Beth Mead.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20:53 BST 12 September

    Man City 1-1 Brighton

Laura Blinkilde Brown can't believe her misfortune.

The ball drops to her feet just by the penalty spot and she shoots not once but twice at the Brighton goal but Chiamaka Nnadozie and her defenders throw themselves in front of it to block away.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:52 BST 12 September

    Man City 1-1 Brighton

Andree Jeglertz also makes two of his own.

Off: Vivianne Miedema and Iman Beney

On: Aoba Fujino and Kerolin Nicoli

  16. goal

GOAL - West Ham 1-3 Arsenalpublished at 20:52 BST 12 September

    Caitlin Foord (62 mins)

    There's the third for Arsenal!

Caitlin Foord has been a real threat in the last 10 minutes or so and she has a deserved goal as she heads in Mariona Caldentey's great cross.

  17. 'Mead was left with her head in her hands'published at 20:51 BST 12 September

    West Ham 1-2 Arsenal

    Emma Byrne
Former Arsenal and Brighton goalkeeper on Sky Sports

That was a really good move from Arsenal. It was really well worked. Stina Blackstenius is just dragging those West Ham players in and creating that space in-behind, and Caitlin Foord made a really good run in.

Beth Mead was left with her head in her hands - a better connection there would've made a really lovely goal for Arsenal.

  18. CLOSE!published at 20:50 BST 12 September

    West Ham 1-2 Arsenal

Caitlin Foord fizzes the ball into the box as she looks for Beth Mead but the forward just can't quite make contact.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:50 BST 12 September

    Man City 1-1 Brighton

It's one way traffic now as City can sense weakness having breached the Brighton back line.

Seagulls boss Dario Vidosic is responding with changes, two of them, as Bex Rayner and Rachel McLaughlin make way for Kiko Seike and Marit Auee.

  20. 'It was coming'published at 20:48 BST 12 September

    Man City 1-1 Brighton

    Courtney Sweetman-Kirk
Ex-Sheffield United forward on Sky Sports

It was coming. They put Brighton under such immense pressure. The ball was waiting for someone to attack it which Bunny Shaw certainly does. There are only so many opportunities you can give this calibre of player. They have missed a lot of opportunities but finally one has gone in the back of the net.
