Rodrigo Muniz scored a delightful chip to give Fulham a 2-1 victory against Wolves at Molineux.

After failing to register a single shot on target in their defeat by Crystal Palace on Saturday, Fulham enjoyed a lightning start with Ryan Sessegnon sweeping past Jose Sa after just 59 seconds.

However, their lead did not last long as Joao Gomes blasted into the roof of the Fulham goal in the 18th minute.

But in similar fashion to the first half, the visitors made an instant impact at the start of the second - restoring their lead 63 seconds after the break as Muniz sprinted on to Adama Traore's threaded pass before dinking over Sa.

"It's three points that we waste," said Wolves manager Vitor Pereira.

"It's time to work, to correct the mistakes, to not sleep in the dressing room because I think we slept in the dressing room and we went into the game sleeping. This cannot happen again."

The result moves Fulham to ninth and boosts their hopes of European football next season as they sit just two points behind sixth-placed Newcastle.

Wolves meanwhile remain five points clear of the drop zone, although Ipswich and Leicester could narrow that gap later this week.

Brighton vs Bournemouth was a great match to watch. Nervy for the home fans, but what a player Diego Gomez is going to be... not to mention Danny Welbeck still has what it takes!

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler hailed Danny Welbeck as a "leader" after the striker's late winner against Bournemouth extended the Seagulls' winning run in all competitions to four matches.

Welbeck, who had replaced Joao Pedro only three minutes earlier, raced on to Georginio Rutter's pass before sliding a left-footed shot past Kepa Arrizabalaga via the inside of the far post.

It was Welbeck's first goal since finding the net in a 2-2 draw with Wolves on 26 October and moves him on to 30 Premier League goals for Brighton - the joint-most for the club in the top flight along with Pascal Gross.

"If you have Danny Welbeck, you think every second when to bring him on [from the bench]," said Hurzeler.

"He got what he deserved today. The most important thing for me is that he is there as a leader. [He is] so important for the young players."

Brighton struck first when Pedro stroked home from the penalty spot after being upended by Arrizabalaga.

Bournemouth restored parity in the second half when Justin Kluivert collected a Milos Kerkez pass on the left before cutting inside and rifling a magnificent drive past Bart Verbruggen.

But Welbeck's finish ultimately proved decisive. The victory lifts Brighton to eighth, level on points with the Cherries in seventh.

"The mood is buzzing, the music is bouncing and everyone is happy."

Those were the words of Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah after he scored his first Premier League goal for the club in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa at Selhurst Park on Tuesday.

Palace have turned a corner after a slow start to the season, winning just one of their first 10 league games, and are now on a run of just three losses in 15 matches.

They sit 12th in the Premier League table, but are just eight points off Manchester City in fifth having played a game more.

The thrashing of Villa felt like a key moment with a number of milestones for players in the Crystal Palace squad.

England midfielder Adam Wharton started his first league game since October after injury, France striker Jean-Philippe Mateta scored again, England playmaker Eberechi Eze looked back to his free-flowing self and striker Nketiah scored his first goal for Palace in the Premier League since signing from Arsenal in the summer.

Senegal forward Ismaila Sarr, meanwhile, scored two goals on his 27th birthday.

Ismaila Sarr's double helped a clinical Crystal Palace sweep Aston Villa aside at Selhurst Park to continue their push towards the top half of the Premier League table.

The Eagles' home form has been an issue for manager Oliver Glasner, as before Tuesday night's match they had won just twice in the league on their own turf.

But Sarr scored his first of the match in the 29th minute when a Chris Richards header was pushed out by Emi Martinez and Sarr was on hand to tap in from close range.

Villa were a lot better after conceding and were level early in the second half through Morgan Rogers before Jean-Philippe Mateta restored Palace's lead with an excellent curled finish past substitute goalkeeper Robin Olsen, on after Martinez did not come out for the second half.

Sarr got his second of the game when Daniel Munoz crossed low into the box and the Senegal striker steered the ball into the far corner, before substitute Eddie Nketiah added a fourth for Palace late on.

The result leaves Glasner's side in 12th position, after losing just three of their past 15 league games.

Cole Palmer has been encouraged to keep working and laughing by manager Enzo Maresca, who believes the goals will then return.

The 22-year-old, who is Chelsea's top scorer in the Premier League this season, has not found the net in his past seven appearances.

However, despite his latest blank against Southampton on Tuesday night, Chelsea returned to the top four with an emphatic 4-0 win over the Premier League strugglers.

While four Chelsea players did get on the scoresheet, Palmer missed a hatful of big chances throughout the game.

But, despite their star man unable to end his goal drought, Chelsea manager Maresca said his team remain "happy" with Palmer - and that the player should also stay upbeat.

"He has to continue to work, continue to be happy, continue to laugh the way he does," Maresca told BBC Match of the Day.

"It is normal to go through a moment where you struggle to score but it doesn't matter. Just continue and you are going to score many goals."

Chelsea moved back into the top four by ending their three-match losing run with an emphatic win over the Premier League's bottom club Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

Christopher Nkunku opened the scoring for the Blues in the 24th minute when he headed in Tosin Adarabioyo's flick-on following a corner.

Twelve minutes later, Nkunku set up Pedro Neto who beat Saints keeper Aaron Ramsdale with a low finish when through on goal.

Just before half-time Chelsea added a third as Levi Colwill rose highest to nod in Neto's wide free-kick.

In the 78th minute substitute Tyrique George set up Marc Cucurella who rounded off a fine counter-attack with a drilled finish.

Dominant Chelsea move fourth in the Premier League table, two points clear of Manchester City and Newcastle who play on Wednesday.
