This is the first league meeting between Leeds United and Plymouth Argyle since April 2007. Leeds won 2-1 that day thanks to a late winner from Lubomir Michalik.
Plymouth haven’t won any of their last eight league games against Leeds (D2 L6) since winning 1-0 in April 1989. At Elland Road, they have only won once in 19 attempts (D6 L12), a 3-2 win in 1962.
Leeds United have won their last four home league games, one more than they won in their previous 20 at Elland Road (W3 D10 L7). The Whites haven’t won five in a row at home since a run of six between October and December 2019 under Marcelo Bielsa.
In just 15 games so far, Plymouth have scored 26 goals and conceded 25 in the Championship this season. It’s the earliest into a league season they’ve both scored and conceded 25+ goals since 1987-88 (also 15th game).
Georginio Rutter has been involved in eight goals in his last 12 Championship appearances for Leeds United (3 goals, 5 assists). He scored the winner last time out against Leicester City at the King Power, while he has three assists in his last four at Elland Road.
