1. What is the latest on Man City's PSR case?published at 08:00 British Summer Time 20 May

Amidst the celebrations of an unprecedented fourth consecutive Premier League title, a question remains: "What about Manchester City’s 115 charges?"

That is one of the most popular search items on Google following the culmination of the season.

It has now been 15 months since City were hit with 115 Premier League charges for alleged financial irregularity – charges they strongly deny.

Some reports suggest it could be at least another year before any verdict.

So questions remain - read more on what next for City's PSR case here.

It was fascinating yesterday to hear Pep Guardiola admit in the aftermath of Manchester City's Treble success he thought everything was done, but he still had a contract, so he had to find additional motivation.

Once Saturday's FA Cup final is over, he will be in the same situation again.

It felt very much as though Guardiola was veering towards not signing an extension to his current deal, which runs to the end of next season.

City's hierarchy are good at planning.

Chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak was at yesterday's game and I would imagine there will be an extended interview with him appearing on City's internal media at some point.

But whoever they get - Mikel Arteta's name is bound to be mentioned - they will have a pretty big task matching Guardiola's six titles in eight years.

The Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga were all won by teams with 90+ plus points. Arsenal had an excellent season, but that's the new benchmark if you want to win the title.

People can have debates about which team has been the best and who, historically, they have preferred, but no team has been able to do what Manchester City have just done by winning that game yesterday and the title for a fourth time in a row.

The scenes after the game showed what it meant to the fans and people associated with the club.

It is another reminder as well that the bar is so high. When you see the sadness at the Emirates - they had an 89-point season and came up short. I think that shows how high the bar is set.

You can't play down Man City achievement of 4 in a row. It's record-breaking, which is great to see. Yes, people will point to the 100+ charges against them, but the players still have to do the business. Arsenal qualified for the CL 2 times in a row for the first time in 19 years so they can't complain of the progress made. At least 3 clubs with new managers so next season is going to be very interesting.

Pep Guardiola's latest English top-flight title takes his personal tally to six, equal with Liverpool's Bob Paisley and George Ramsay of Aston Villa, and only exceeded by Sir Alex Ferguson, who has 13.

On 25 May, City will attempt to become the first side to complete the domestic Double in successive seasons.

In total, Guardiola has won 17 trophies since arriving at City in 2016.

In 2019, City became the first side to win the Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup in the same season. Last term, they emulated Manchester United by winning the Treble, beating Inter Milan in Istanbul to win the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.

Guardiola said he had to be told by Match of the Day presenter – and former Barcelona star – Gary Lineker about doing the Double two years in a row.

“He told me no team has done back-to-back Premier Leagues and FA Cups,” said Guardiola, who has now won 12 league titles for three clubs in 16 years as a manager.

“I want my players to enjoy two or three days and then prepare for the final. Why should we not work as much as possible to do what we have to do?”

Maybe from the 2025/26 season everyone else will have a chance if Pep calls time on his City love affair. The GOAT coach and the best team in PL history. It may be "boring" to some fans but you have to admire their professionalism and sheer brilliance.

  11. Will Guardiola leave Man City next year?published at 07:27 British Summer Time 20 May

    Wait, Guardiola could leave?!

Well, yesterday Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola raised the prospect he may walk away when his contract expires at the end of next season.

“Last year, after Istanbul, I said ‘it’s over, there’s nothing left’,” he said.

“But I have a contract and I start to think ‘no-one has done four in a row, why don't we try?’. And now I feel it’s done, so what next?

“Now I don't know what exactly the motivation is because it's difficult to find it when everything is done.”

Guardiola’s present contract expires at the end of next season, by which time he will have been at City for nine years.

Asked on Sky Sports about his future, Guardiola said: “The reality is I am closer to leaving than staying. We have talked with the club - my feeling is that I want to stay now. I will stay next season and during the season we will talk. But eight or nine years - we will see.”

Imperious Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1 at Etihad Stadium to become the first team to win the English league title four seasons in a row.

The win completed a staggering run of 19 wins and four draws since their last defeat in the league, at Aston Villa on 6 December.

City have now won six out of the past seven Premier League titles. Last term, they joined Huddersfield, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, twice, in winning the top flight three years in a row.

Now Guardiola’s team have achieved something no other men's side has managed since the English league was formed in 1888, 136 years ago.

On 25 May they will aim to become the first side to complete the domestic Double in successive seasons when they face Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

    Hello everybody!

We've got so much to go over this morning after a brilliant final day which concluded a pretty epic Premier League season.

But first, we'll start with these questions:

Where does Manchester City's record fourth consecutive title rank in football history?

Where do City go from here?

And is Pep Guardiola the greatest Premier League manager? And, if not, what more does he have to do to claim that feat?
