We're hearing from our colleagues at the open training session that Andy Robertson and Lawrence Shankland are thankfully okay.

All the players apparently end training at different times and the Scotland duo are scheduled to train tomorrow.

So nothing to worry about, we hope.

  2. 'Extra special week for Scotland trio'published at 11:07 British Summer Time 10 June

    BBC Sport Scotland

It will be a special week for everyone in the Scotland squad, of course, but perhaps particularly for Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie and Scott McTominay.

McGregor celebrates his 31st birthday on the same day he will likely walk on to the pitch in Munich.

That’ll be a birthday to remember for the Celtic captain who, with his goal against Croatia at Euro 2020, is the only Scot to score at a major finals since Craig Burley’s fabulous finish against the Norwegians in Bordeaux in 1998.

Paul McStay, Brian McClair, Gary McAllister and Ally McCoist are the only other Scotland players to find the net at a European Championship. McGregor's 61st cap will take him level with McCoist and Richard Gough.

Christie and McTominay’s next caps will be their 50th and they could become the 38th and 39th men to achieve that feat on Friday following the recent additions of Grant Hanley and Stuart Armstrong to the roll of honour.

We'll provide an update on Andy Robertson and Lawrence Shankland when we get it.

We're hearing John Carver is scheduled to speak to the media this afternoon, so he will no doubt clear things up.

In the meantime, back to positive stuff. No more 'Negative Normans' etc.

  4. No Armstrong in team trainingpublished at 11:01 British Summer Time 10 June

Can we just have a day without needing to worry about injuries? It seems not.

Stuart Armstrong didn't take part in team training as he still builds up his fitness.

    That was planned, though.

  5. Robertson & Shankland concern?published at 10:56 British Summer Time 10 June
    Breaking

Oh dear, a bit of a worry from the Scotland camp as pictures show, external Andy Robertson getting a wee bit of treatment before walking off during this morning's open training session.

Sky Sports' Luke Shanley says Lawrence Shankland also walked off a bit earlier and took no further part.

Please, whoever's doing this, just stop.

    More Scotland arrival content.

Is that one of those personalised Millie's Cookies (others are available etc.) Steve Clarke is being presented with?

If so, I don't know why he looks so gutted. They are class.

  7. 'Sheer excitement'published at 10:47 British Summer Time 10 June

    Darren Jackson
Former Scotland striker on Scottish Football Podcast

It'll just be sheer excitement. There's a few who qualified for the last tournament, but it's different because they're going away this time and they'll have a base whereas last time two games were at Hampden and one at Wembley.

So they can take experiences from that, but it will be a bit different.

As I say, it'll just be sheer excitement. They'll be going and all their stuff will be laid out, everything will be perfect.

It's just about settling in and actually just trying to be calm because the build-up is going to be really intense.

Darren Jackson was part of the Scotland starting XI that day at the Stade de France back in 1998.

The former striker featured on Monday's Scottish Football Podcast and expressed his "sheer excitement".

Let's see what else he had to say...

Friday won't be the first time Scotland open a major tournament.

Cast your mind back to 1998 - thankfully not the last time we qualified now - when the eyes of the world were on France to see the mighty Brazil face Scotland.

One down after five minutes, Scotland fought back to 1-1 and only an unfortunate deflection off Tom Boyd gave Brazil a late winner.

An iconic day in Scottish football history.

    Nope, me neither.

John McGinn dances with locals in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

We need to start with Super John's Bavarian dancing. I'm sure you'll have seen it already, but it's worth another watch.

After arriving at their training base in Garmisch-Partenkirchen - try saying that after a stein or two - Steve Clarke's squad were handed a civic reception.

And McGinn endeared himself to the locals with some classic 'yer da' behaviour.

If John McGinn dancing on a stage with Bavarian men in lederhosen doesn't get you hyped for Euro 2024, nothing will.

A week we've been waiting for is here at long last and we're here to help you skive at work by starting the build-up to Friday.

We're also expecting to hear from the Scotland camp this afternoon.
