  1. 'Blues look good for top spot'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March

    FT: Birmingham 1-0 Wycombe

    Darren Carter
Ex-Birmingham midfielder on BBC Radio WM

Blues certainly had to find a way today.

They were good in the first half. They got the goal and then there was the sending off, but credit to Wycombe, they came out fighting in the second half and it shows they are where they are.

Blues looked a little leggy but they look good for top spot now.

  2. 'Bolton really matched up to Wrexham'published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March

    FT: Wrexham 0-0 Bolton

    Keith Hill
Former Bolton and Barnsley boss on BBC Radio Manchester

Wrexham are predictable but I wouldn't say dull.

They've got some real match winners and they've got that experience.

I can't criticise Phil Parkinson for the style of football because they've been great.

Bolton really matched up to Wrexham today.

It's a big game for them on Tuesday against Birmingham, it'll be a big ask but they needed the three points today.

One eye on the League One title already for Birmingham City?

Blues have opened up a 12-point lead at the top after that 1-0 win over Wycombe.

The Chairboys remain two points ahead of Wrexham, who couldn't take full advantage, playing out a goalless draw with play-off chasing Bolton.

Birmingham have a 14-point cushion in the automatic promotion spots with a game in hand.

A big, big win for Birmingham as they see it out against 10-man Wycombe.

That's now 18 League One games unbeaten for Blues and they remain undefeated on home soil this season.

Taylor Gardner-Hickman's excellent volley in the first half is enough to earn them three points and extend their already sizeable advantage at the top.

  7. 'The game is ebbing away from Wycombe'published at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March

    Birmingham 1-0 Wycombe

    James Richings
Wycombe summariser on BBC Three Counties Radio

It's very frustrating because slowly but surely the game is ebbing away from Wycombe now.

They need to throw the kitchen sink now but Birmingham are very good at winding down the clock.

They just need to clear the ball out.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March

    Birmingham 1-0 Wycombe

Wycombe's Richard Kone goes into the book for leading into a challenge on Ben Davies with his arm.

He's not happy about it but it was a fairly clear yellow.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March

    Tranmere 1-1 Port Vale

A valuable point for Tranmere as they hold play-off hopefuls Port Vale to a draw at Prenton park.

Kristian Dennis's goal was cancelled out by a Ronan Curtis equaliser in the first half.

The game ended on a sour note as Tranmere's Connor Wood was dismissed for a bad foul.

Yet again, Birmingham keeper Ryan Allsop is forced into another excellent catch from Jack Grimmer's cross from the right. But now he's down and getting treatment. Doesn't look good.

    Wrexham 0-0 Bolton

Jordi Osei-Tutu strikes the bar for BoltonImage source, Rex Features

Bolton will be the happier with that as they had to soak up so much Wrexham pressure in the second period after a relatively sterile first half.

Jordi Osei-Tutu struck the bar from a narrow angle for the visitors in the opening 45 minutes, with Jay Rodriguez and Sam Smith seeing efforts fly over for the home side.

Wrexham upped their game after the interval with Eoghan O'Connell twice going close, and Matty James firing over from six yards before Szabolcs Schon had a goal disallowed for offside.

But Bolton almost stole all three points in the last minute but Aaron Collins was superbly denied by Arthur Okonkwo, who had been a spectator for much of the game.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:23 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March
