Republic of Ireland captain Katie McCabe speaking on RTE 2:

"The first half was frustrating, we didn't start the way we wanted to. We regrouped, refocused and sorted out a few things tactically at half-time and came out the second half a lot more clinical.

"I still feel we weren't at our best today but job done tonight and we'll move onto Tuesday."

    Caragh Hamilton
Northern Ireland winger on BBC iPlayer

A lot of Northern Ireland's play has been untidy and not quite as clean as you would want it.

You can see the idea is there but the timing of it; everybody's not quite on the same page.

FT: Georgia 0-6 Republic of Ireland

Eileen Gleeson on the long VAR check:

"The cameras weren't working. We had live feed to the bench so we were offering them to have a look, it wasn't a handball.

"It's great that they want to bring VAR inline with the men's game but I feel like they need to make sure they have the right facilities because that's obviously a very long delay in the game."

  13. 'Georgia were resilient'published at 19:19 British Summer Time 25 October

FT: Georgia 0-6 Republic of Ireland

Republic of Ireland manager Eileen Gleeson speaking on RTE 2:

"I wasn't worried [when it was 1-0 at half-time], but I would have liked them [the goals] to come a little bit earlier!

"We knew what we would face today, a low block, they were very resilient in that. We wanted our speed of play to be better and get more balls into the box and we had to wait to the second half to open them up.

"I thought the players that came on made a real impact. Marissa Sheva, the switch with Julie-Ann Russell wide then gave us the dribblers that we needed and Marissa picked up some lovely spaces inside the pockets."

  14. 'She's always got a strategy for all of them'published at 19:18 British Summer Time 25 October

    Croatia 1-0 Northern Ireland

    Caragh Hamilton
Northern Ireland winger on BBC iPlayer

I think for whatever scenarios Tanya thought this game might present, she's always got a strategy for all of them.

Being a goal ahead, being a goal behind, being a player down in the game potentially.

She always has those plans ahead of time depending on what the game might present.

FT: Georgia 0-6 Republic of Ireland

Player of the Match Abbie Larkin speaking on RTE 2:

On her performance tonight: "I came out and I was going to enjoy myself and all the girls had my back playing.

"I think we played really good football and we definitely deserved that win tonight."

When asked was she worried when it was only 1-0 at the break: " No, we were just trying to find our feet. We were playing football and taking our time.

"There was no need to rush things and we got the result we wanted in the end."

On being so involved at only 19-years-old: "I never take playing for the Republic of Ireland for granted.

"I've been playing since I was 16-years-old and got my first goal against Georgia. Pity I couldn't score another today!"

    Lauren McCann
    BBC Sport NI in Varazdin

It's really scrappy out there and you wonder how long before Tanya Oxtoby turns to her bench to inject some much-needed energy into her sluggish side.

Casey Howe and Louise McDaniel have been in good form for their clubs and seem like obvious candidates to come on.

They need to lift the energy.

Towards the back end of the first half it was a little bit flat.
