Celtic's early press is giving them some big space to find Iheanacho as Braga are coming out and pressing too.

They have to keep their head and pick their opportunities.

No questions about Daizen Maeda's commitment as he races all the way back to make an excellent tackle about 20 yards from his goal.

Tounekti is a proper Celtic winger, isn't he?

Turns his man inside out and flashes a good ball in.

Bright stuff from Sebastian Tounekti again, dipping towards the byeline before firing across the face of goal.

    No takers.

  5. High-energy startpublished at 17:54 BST

    Celtic 0-0 Braga

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

Encouraging signs for Celtic in these very early stages. Braga, all in violet, haven't seen too much of the ball which has been in their half pretty much constantly since kick-off.

No clear-cut chances yet but Celtic have drawn an error or two from the Portuguese side with their pressing.

  6. 'Chances for Celtic to press'published at 17:52 BST

    Celtic 0-0 Braga

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

It was good play from Daizen Maeda, Kelechi Iheanacho just went a little bit quick but it was a good run.

It looks as if Braga will always try to play out from the back, that gives Celtic the opportunity to press them.

  7. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Braga

Kelechi Iheanacho is slipped in behind but doesn't get a shot away.

    He's offside anyway.

  8. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Braga

Sebastian Tounekti gets the home fans off their feet by bursting past his marker, but he fails to find a killer pass.

  9. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Braga

First corner of the game is a Celtic corner.

In it comes from Paulo Bernardo, but it comes to nothing.

  10. 'Result the priority'published at 17:47 BST

    Celtic 0-0 Braga

    Stiliyan Petrov
Former Celtic midfielder on TNT Sports

It's about the result, not the performance.

Celtic have got a great opportunity in this competition.

  11. Decent atmosphere after allpublished at 17:46 BST

    Celtic 0-0 Braga

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

There's been a rush of late arrivals and Celtic Park has filled up pretty well.

Looks like there are well over 40,000 inside, possibly far closer to 50,000. Good noise about the place, too, with the planned silent protest binned.

    James McFadden
Former Scotland forward on BBC Sportsound

Celtic need a fast start. They need to be more attack-minded and be more aggressive.

I think that's key. Start fast and try and get an early goal.

As the minutes tick down towards kick-off, there are still significant gaps all around the stadium.

It looks like the crowd is slowly nudging up towards the 40,000 expected this evening, but it's clear this will be a very different atmosphere to last season's high-octane Champions League nights.

Celtic may well have to get the crowd going, rather than the other way around.

The only member of the Braga side who lost to Rangers three years ago to start this evening is forward Ricardo Horta.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men were on their way to the Europa League final in 2022. I'm sure Celtic would take the score at Ibrox that night, 3-1 after extra time in the home side's favour.

  18. What we know about Bragapublished at 17:32 BST

    Celtic v Braga (17:45)

Celtic have faced Braga once before, with the Portuguese side winning their 2010 Champions League qualifier 4-2 on aggregate.

More recently, Braga have lost out twice to Rangers in the Europa League.

They beat Feyenoord 1-0 in their Europa League opener, but with two wins from seven games they sit seventh in their domestic league and new head coach Carlos Vicens has been attracting flak from fans.

They reached the Champions League for the second time in 2023-24, finishing third in their group behind Real Madrid and Napoli.

At 39, former Porto, Monaco and Wolves midfielder Joao Moutinho, who is on the bench, is still going strong and captain Ricardo Horta, who starts, is a dangerous winger with international experience.

After his Europa League goal against Red Star, Kelechi Iheanacho could become the seventh player to score in both of his first two major European competition appearances for Celtic, and the first since Andreas Thom and Simon Donnelly in 1995.

'Fans have told me criticism has gone too far' - Russell Martin

There has also been unrest among the Rangers support, but there was no respite for Russell Martin even after a stoppage-time winner against Livingston on Sunday.

Instead, a fair amount of the travelling fans continued to chant for the head coach's removal.

Martin said he walked straight down the tunnel so the players could enjoy the victory in West Lothian, their first in six attempts in the league.

"I want the players to enjoy it and people choose to turn their attention to me," Martin said.

"I just wish at that point they could enjoy their team winning and the lads could enjoy it rather than have that energy towards me.

"The other thing I find sad is when I see kids standing next to their dads and stuff and sticking their fingers up at me and swearing at me.

"I don't feel particularly sad about it for me, I just feel like that for the cycle [of abuse] to go on."
