Highlights: Rushall Olympic 0-2 Accrington Stanley

Josh Woods and Tyler Walton secured Accrington Stanley a 2-0 win at 10-man Rushall Olympic to earn a place in the second round of the FA Cup.

Stanley could have opened the scoring around the 20-minute mark when Donald Love sent a low-driven cross to the near post but Walton dragged his shot just wide.

The hosts then went close when Billy Crellin punched away a cross to Luke Benbow, but he could only manage to head over.

Dara Castello laid a ball off to Love midway through the half but the wing-back blasted over the bar. And the visitors threatened again before half-time as Shaun Whalley tried his luck from range, which tested home goalkeeper Paul White but he managed to handle the effort.

Rushall captain Nathan Cameron pleaded with referee Steven Copeland but Luke Benbow's 60th-minute red card was a game changer as Stanley scored twice in the final quarter.

Rushall had a good chance early in the second half when Fenton Heard picked up a low cross in the box but his effort whistled wide.

But the hosts then found themselves down to 10 men on the hour mark when Benbow received a second yellow card for a foul.

Accrington took advantage on 73 minutes when White spilled Whalley’s free-kick from the edge of the box and Woods poked home from close range.

The visitors then wrapped up victory eight minutes from time when Walton powered a shot across goal and into the bottom corner.
