What an exciting afternoon of football, with many goal-fests and derby day victories.

Wrexham got the edge over Wycombe in the League One promotion race with a 1-0 win over the Chairboys, while Huddersfield and Lincoln each hammered home five goals in their wins this afternoon.

In League Two, Colchester stretched their winning streak to five which pushes them into the play-offs but Notts County failed to capitalise on the chance to move into the top three.

A huge derby day awaits in Sheffield tomorrow, as Wednesday will look to put a dent in United's promotion hopes, see you then!

Second-placed Bradford's 1-0 defeat at home to Tranmere once again saw them unable to close the gap on leaders Walsall.

AFC Wimbledon did make the most of Doncaster's draw at Crewe earlier in the day after their 2-1 win at Carlisle moves the Dons into third with Doncaster dropping down to fourth.

Notts County suffered a setback in their hopes of moving into the automatic promotion places after they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Chesterfield.

Colchester move into the play-off places after their 3-0 home win against Fleetwood made it five wins on the bounce. The U's are now on a 13-game unbeaten league run.

Morecambe were unable to hold on to a two-goal lead to draw against Barrow with the Shrimps down to 10 men. Derek Adams' side are now six points from safety.

And Tranmere's impressive win at Bradford sees them move six points clear the relegation zone.

    Whew!

Huddersfield put five past Crawley to move into the top six, while the bottom four saw no movement at all.

Though Burton do pick up a vital three points away at Shrewsbury to reduce the deficit to safety to six points.

It could have been three but Peterborough beat Cambridge United to climb further away from the drop zone.

The day ends with Wrexham, who got the better of Wycombe in a tight match to see themselves back in the automatic promotion spots.

While the Chairboys will be looking to reclaim their spot, they will also need to watch their back.

Stockport County also had a big win against play-off rivals Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic scored two against Wigan to move into fourth - and that second spot will be in both of their sights.
