Olivia Smith has been Liverpool's best player.

She started on the right and she's come to the left, Casparij doesn't have a clue where she is.

City's keeper, Yamashita was predicting that it was going to the other side.

Superb first half display from Olivia Smith.

The goal was all of her own making. She wins the second ball mid way into the opposition half, putting her head in where it hurts.

The Canadian then drives straight at the Manchester City defence, and lets fly with her right boot, 25 yards out. The shot was like a stone skipping across the water it finds its way past Ayaka Yamashita at the Anfield Road end.

A fitting way to erase the unwanted history of Liverpool's women's team having never scored at this stadium prior to this match.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Leicester

Aston Villa can't do anything with that late free-kick and Leicester have well and truly earned their point at Villa Park.

Neither side could find that crucial opening which means things are still wide open in the bottom half of the Women's Super League.

The hunt for a first league win goes on for both Villa and Leicester.

Well it was a tough second half for Brighton but they come through unscathed and take all three points away from Crystal Palace.

Aston Villa have a late, late free-kick with seconds on the clock. One more chance?

A battling, end to end affair ends a goal apiece at Walton Hall Park.

Despite a flurry of second half chances Everton were unable to secure their first win of the season.

West Ham also remain winless after four games played, but both managers will be encouraged by what they saw from their sides at times this afternoon.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Leicester

    Goodness me!

Anna Patten has a go from point-blank range and it requires a brilliant reaction save from the feet of Janina Leitzig.

That is as good as a goal at this stage.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Leicester

Kenza Dali has a go from range, a low driven shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Sophie Howard makes the crucial block. Less than two minutes to go.

  10. Smith injury a concernpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time

    HT: Liverpool 1-0 Man City

Wow! What a half that was from Liverpool. They have stifled Manchester City and Olivia Smith has ran the show.

Not a single shot on target from Gareth Taylor's side which is a concern. They have lacked intensity.

They go down the tunnel looking disappointed while several Liverpool players jog off the pitch.

The concern for the hosts is that Smith was holding her hip and being helped off by a member of the medical staff.

Her parents, sat to the right of us, waved to her but looked concerned.

    Everton 1-1 West Ham

Toni Payne looks to be in behind with a golden chance to score the winner but she is flagged offside much to the home crowd's dismay.

    That might just be that.

  12. Postpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time

    Everton 1-1 West Ham

The forward ball from Shannon Cooke is a good one, but Seraina Piubel is just unable to latch on the end of it before Courtney Brosnan clears.

Anouk Denton collects the loose ball and fires at goal but her effort curls just wide of the left post.

  13. INJURY TIMEpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time

    Aston Villa 0-0 Leicester

Five minutes added on at Villa Park.

Can either side find a late, late winner?

  14. Postpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Everton 1-1 West Ham

West Ham have a free kick just shy of the half way line.

One last chance to get the ball into the box?

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Brighton

We'll have five minutes added on. Can Crystal Palace nick an equaliser?

Ohhh so close! Just as I say that Annabel Blanchard has a go from 12-yards out and it's a brilliant save from Sophie Baggaley.

The Brighton keeper hasn't had a great deal to do this afternoon but that's a superb tip over the bar.

  16. INJURY TIMEpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Everton 1-1 West Ham

We'll have a minimum of just three minutes of added time at the end of this one.

Slightly less than most perhaps would have expected given the amount of changes and stoppages we've had in this second half.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time

    Liverpool 1-0 Man City

Liverpool lead at the break. They've done a great job of holding Manchester City back and Olivia Smith took her chance excellently.

  18. Postpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Brighton

My Cato is off for Molly-Mae Sharpe. A last roll of the dice for Crystal Palace.

But it's the visitors who are looking for another goal as Kiko Seike forces a brilliant save from Shae Yanez, tipping over the bar from 10-yards out.

  19. CLOSE!published at 15:50 British Summer Time

    Everton 1-1 West Ham

Wave after wave of Everton attack now, West Ham just can't get out.

Megan Finnigan's shot is cleared off the line, then Katja Snoejis sees her effort denied in an identical fashion, and Veatriki Sarri's shot is blocked just shy of the penalty spot.

Three shots at goal in a matter of seconds but they still haven't got a second goal!

  20. Postpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time

    Liverpool 1-0 Man City

Olivia Smith is holding her hip when she runs.

She continued playing after going down but still doesn't look entirely comfortable.
