Hannah Hampton starts in goal for Chelsea today having won the Yashin Trophy for best female goalkeeper at the Ballon d'Or ceremony last week.

Hampton won the domestic treble with Chelsea and Euro 2025 with England last season.

Chelsea

Chelsea head coach Sonia Bompastor, speaking on BBC iPlayer: "Really pleased with the results. But again, coming to the game today we expect a tough battle against West Ham. It's a London derby and we know this team will be playing really good football and causing some trouble.

"We need to be ready in terms of mental aspects."

Before kick-off, we have a minute's silence in memory of the late Matt Beard.

Beard managed both of these teams in his illustrious career.

West Ham United

West Ham manager Rehanne Skinner, speaking on BBC iPlayer: "I think we've done a lot of things well at certain points in games but we've not been as consistent as we'd like in the whole 90/100 minutes. I think that's the thing that we're aiming for today, to be consistent with the way we want to play."

The players have emerged at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

It seems like a daunting task for West Ham, but remember they drew with Chelsea and beat Arsenal here last season.

• Chelsea have won 17 of their last 18 games against West Ham United across all competitions - but did draw the most recent one 2-2.
• The Blues are aiming to win their opening four Women’s Super League games of a campaign for the fifth time, winning the league in three of the previous four campaigns where they did so.
• Aggie Beever-Jones is aiming to be the first ever Chelsea player to score in her first four games of a WSL season.
• Wieke Kaptein is yet to lose in any of her first 19 WSL games for Chelsea. Only Daphné Corboz - 20 games for Man City in 2015-16 - has gone on a longer unbeaten run from their league debut.
• West Ham United have lost each of their last five WSL games and could lose six in a row for the first time ever. Hammers’ boss Rehanne Skinner has only once before had a longer streak herself in the competition, losing her final nine games in charge of Tottenham.

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Marc Skinner, speaking to Sky Sports: "We spoke at half-time around what we wanted second half. I just spoke to the players in the huddle that we weren't good enough second half with the ball, we made rushed decisions. I don't even think that was Liverpool's pressure, it was just us. What I loved about the group is they were like, 'Yeah, it isn't good enough', so their standards are already there.

"We'll learn from it. Another clean sheet. Another two goals. Two different goalscorers, so yeah it's a good three points for us."

On Hinata Miyazawa's stunning strike: "She hit one against Brighton last year, it was an incredible finish from the edge of the penalty area with her right foot. But it's so clean, it hits the perfect part of the post to zip it around. It's a beautiful goal. She's got that and we've asked her to score more goals because I think she's got beautiful technique. I'm sure she'll enjoy that."

Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor says one of the first questions she is often asked in job interviews is whether she can lead a top club while also being a mother.

Bompastor, who has four children, led Chelsea to a domestic treble last term.

When asked about a recent survey that found 78% of women had faced discrimination while working in football, Bompastor said she was "not surprised".

"Guess what was almost the first question everyone is asking me when I want to become a head coach or a manager?" the 45-year-old said.

"So I'm going to tell you - 'do you think it's possible to be a mum of four kids and being a manager for a high club?' I think if you have a man in front of the same people, they will never ask that question."

She added, laughing: "It wasn't the case in Chelsea."

Manchester United goalscorer Ella Toone, speaking to Sky Sports: "I thought first half we played really well. I think we need to be a little bit more ruthless. When we have so much of the ball we have to create chances and finish them. Sometimes 2-0 is a difficult score line coming out at half-time and the next goal is really important. I think second half we could've been a lot better, a lot cleaner on the ball. I thought we forced a lot of things but that's the standards that we have, and at the end of the day we've got the three points, scored two goals, conceded none and we should be happy with that."

On Hinata Miyazawa's opener: "Unreal. She's an unbelievable player. I love playing with her. She's got so much quality, defensively she does a lot of work but on the ball as well she's unreal, so it was nice for her to get a goal today and she should've got another one."

There are three changes to the West Ham side who lost against Brighton last weekend.

Ffion Morgan and Ines Belloumou make their first starts for the club with Verena Hanshaw and Shekiera Martinez dropping to the bench.

Amber Tysiak replaces Anna Csiki in midfield in the other alteration.

West Ham XI: Szemik, Belloumou, Zadorsky, Nystrom, Denton, Gorry, Siren, Asseyi, Tysiak, Ueki, Morgan.

Subs: Walsh, Endo, Pavi, Csiki, Martinez, Brasero, Wandeler, Hanshaw, Piubel.

Chelsea also make three changes to the side who beat Leicester last weekend.

Alyssa Thompson makes her first start for the Blues since her deadline day move from Angel City with Catarina Macario dropping to the bench.

Oriane Jean-Francois and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd also come into the starting line-up as Ellie Carpenter and Sandy Baltimore drop to the bench.

Chelsea XI: Hampton, Bjorn, Bright, Buurman, Jean-Francois, Cuthbert, Walsh, Rytting Kaneryd, Kaptein, Thompson, Beever-Jones.

Subs: Peng, Macario, Baltimore, Hamano, Alber, Nusken, Kerr, Carpenter, Reiten.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham goalscorer Olivia Holdt: "It was a great game. Our momentum went a bit up and down but in the end we got three points and that's what we came for.

On her goal: "It was a cheeky chip, it was a great ball and I came down to the goalkeeper and my first thought was to pass it and when I looked up she was right in front of my face and it was the first thought that came to my mind."

On how Tottenham will do this season: "It's a good question. Right now it's about focusing on our performance and the points will come after that. Right now it's nice to be getting the points earlier in the season than last season."

I think that Man Utd came out flying. The energy of the team, the work-rate of each other, backing each other as teammates was unbelievable to see. The changes they made, they still looked competitive with changes.

Unfortunately, Liverpool were not at their best. I think Gareth Taylor has a big job on his hands. He's got a lot to do and at the end of the day you need some points on that board before the pressure starts.
