  1. Celtic must be 'more intense' - Rodgerspublished at 14:50 BST

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Scotland: "We haven't been as productive in our goals as I'd have wanted us to be.

"There have been some games we've been unfortunate in, like last weekend, but there have been been others where the creativity hasn't been there.

"We need to be more intense in our game, no doubt about that. Goalscoring is the responsibility of everyone."

  2. Pressley pleased to welcome back two key playerspublished at 14:48 BST

    Aberdeen v Dundee (15:00)

Dundee head coach Steven Pressley tells BBC Scotland about having Simon Murray and Yan Dhanda back: "Both are hugely influential players, both can make the difference. Every team wants that type of player.

"Really pleased to have them back, and they have a great connection - they had that Ross County.

"They've changed five players, they've got a really strong squad. We've got to use everything to our advantage today, whatever it is we have to grab hold of.

"Dundee haven't won here in 21 years. That tells you how big the task is. We need to do everything right."

  3. Thelin aiming for 'fast start' against Dundeepublished at 14:44 BST

    Aberdeen v Dundee (15:00)

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin tells BBC Scotland: "It's a quick turnaround from Thursday night and we put a lot of effort into that game. We want fresh legs to start the game really fast also.

"We have been a little bit better every game but the result is still not there. It's important to connect with the fans and show them from the first minute that we are front-footed and have the energy needed to win games.

"There was a lot of energy out there on Thursday. The players who played in that game are growing and they will contribute in the second half today.

"We have to respect every team, but we have a strong belief in ourselves. Dundee have also done good things."

  4. Falkirk plan 'to test Rangers' resolve' - McGlynnpublished at 14:42 BST

    Falkirk v Rangers (15:00)

Falkirk manager John McGlynn tells BBC Scotland: "We take inspiration from everyone else who has played against Rangers so far, who have made it really difficult. Livingston weren't far from getting a result last week - some would say they should of.

"It's up to us to go and compete. I'm looking for a response from last week. Rangers maybe aren't in the best of form, but we respect them and we will definitely need to be at our best.

"We have to get our game plan right to impose ourselves and test their resolve."

  5. Martin 'doesn't see' Falkirk as must-win gamepublished at 14:40 BST

    Falkirk v Rangers (15:00)

Rangers head coach Russell Martin confirms to BBC Scotland: "There is no change in shape, it's just freshness with a lot of experience on the pitch. Derek Cornelius will be at left-back."

On the game, Martin said: "It's really important and we've been really clear on that with the players.

"Performances have been creeping up and up domestically along the period. We still have a few too many moments that hurt us, but we've created a lot and we need to keep building on that.

"It's about capitalising when the energy and momentum is with us. There's been so much growth within the team in terms of spirit and togetherness and now we need to continue that."

When asked if this is a must-win, Martin adds that he "doesn't see" the game that way.

  6. Postpublished at 14:37 BST

    Falkirk v Rangers (15:00)

Rangers got their first Premiership win last weekend after a stoppage-time strike from Max Aarons at Livingston. Can they build on that to take some of the heat off head coach Russell Martin?

Three points and a few goals could lift the visitors up to third place.

  7. Postpublished at 14:35 BST

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

Celtic have gone three games without a win and have failed to score in five of their 12 matches in all competitions, which equals the number of the games they blanked in 57 outings last season.

  8. Postpublished at 14:33 BST

    Aberdeen v Dundee (15:00)

Dundee have won just one of their seven league games and their record at Pittodrie is pretty rotten.

Jim Duffy was in charge when they last celebrated three points back in May 2004. Since then, they have lost 11 and drawn five top flight encounters in the Granite City.

  9. Falkirk looking to leapfrogpublished at 14:31 BST

    Falkirk v Rangers (15:00)

Falkirk only have one win in six in the Premiership so far but there's a real incentive for all three points if Rangers show the vulnerabilities that have been exposed so far this term.

A home win for the Bairns takes them above their visitors and onto eight points.

  10. Can Dons build on Shakhtar showing?published at 14:30 BST

    Aberdeen v Dundee (15:00)

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin is under some serious pressure and a failure to get the job done today would see that ratchet up to stratospheric levels.

The Dons did impress against Shakhtar Donetsk and amid the deserved plaudits for their display, defender Nicky Devlin said "none of this means anything if you can't go and win on Sunday".

A corner turned or a cul-de-sac entered? We will find out over the next few hours.

  11. 'Moore hasn't done enough'published at 14:27 BST

For me, Mikey Moore hasn't done enough to be a starting player for Rangers. If I was an academy player in that position, I'd be really disappointed. Finlay Curtis might be injured but he has been more impactful.

  12. Postpublished at 14:25 BST

    Falkirk v Rangers (15:00)

Falkirk are going for three home league wins in a row against Rangers, although the previous two came in 2015-16 when they were Championship rivals.

  13. Postpublished at 14:23 BST

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

Motherwell have an unbeaten league record to protect, having followed five draws with a win over Aberdeen last time out.

Rather surprisingly, the visitors have outscored Celtic nine to eight over the first six league matches.

However, the Steelmen have not beaten Celtic anywhere in any competition since December 2015 and have lost 14 of their past 16 visits to Celtic Park, conceding 50 goals while scoring just six.

  14. Postpublished at 14:19 BST

    Aberdeen v Dundee (15:00)

This really looks like a must-win match for Aberdeen, but they will need to hit the net for that to happen.

The Dons are the first side to fail to score in their opening six matches of a top-flight season since err.. themselves in 1999-00.

The last side to go seven games without a goal at any stage was Livingston from October to December 2023.

  15. Thelin swaps five from Thursday; Murray back for Deepublished at 14:16 BST

    Aberdeen v Dundee (15:00)

Jimmy Thelin rings the changes from Thursday night's encouraging performance against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Conference League.

Alexander Jensen and Emmanuel Gyamfi come in as wing-backs, while captain Graeme Shinnie is returned to the midfield. Adil Aouchiche and Kevin Nisbet also come in.

Alfie Dorrington, Topi Keskinen, Leighton Clarkson, Ante Palaversa, and Marko Lazetic are all named among the subs.

Just two changes for Dundee from the 1-0 loss to St Mirren. Yan Dhanda returns from suspension and skipper Simon Murray starts up top in what is sure to be a big boost for Steven Pressley's side.

  16. First Falkirk start for Wilson; Martin rings in four changespublished at 14:13 BST

    Falkirk v Rangers (15:00)

John McGlynn makes two changes to the Falkirk team who were defeated by Hearts last Saturday.

On-loan Jambos defender Lewis Neilson returns while Swansea loanee Kyrell Wilson is in line for his first Bairns start after recovering from an injury.

As for the visitors, Russell Martin makes four changes to the side that lost away to Sturm Graz in the Europa League.

Nassar Djiga starts in a back four, with Derek Cornelius shifted out to left-back and Jayden Meghoma on the bench.

Joe Rothwell is in midfield in place of Thelo Aasgard, while Mikey Moore and Bojan Miovksi come into the attack for Oliver Antman and Youssef Chermiti.

  17. Hatate starts for Celtic; McGinn in for 100th Well gamepublished at 14:11 BST

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

Brendan Rodgers makes four changes to the Celtic side that lost to Braga on Thursday as they look to get back to winning ways against Motherwell.

Both full-backs are changed as Kieran Tierney drops to the bench and Colby Donovan is nowhere to be seen in the squad. Anthony Ralston and Marcelo Saracchi are in.

Reo Hatate and Luke McCowan are starting in midfield, with Paulo Bernardo and Benjamin Nygren making way.

Rodgers sticks with the same attack that has failed to score in the past two matches.

As for the visitors, there's two changes from their second straight win over Aberdeen last weekend.

There's the return of captain Paul McGinn, who makes his 100th Motherwell appearance by replacing the ineligible Stephen Welsh, while Johnny Koutroumbis - who netted the opener last week - comes in for Stephen O'Donnell.

  18. European hangovers?published at 14:07 BST

Scotland's Uefa coefficient took another kicking on Thursday, with nul points across the board.

Celtic slumped to a 2-0 home defeat to Braga, while Rangers were beaten 2-1 in Austria by Sturm Graz.

Aberdeen were big underdogs against Shakhtar Donetsk and at least put up a fight in a 3-2 reverse at Pittodrie.

Will those three be stung into action today or will weary legs be a factor?
