Brian Graham scored his 11th of the season as Partick Thistle consigned Scottish Championship bottom club Airdrieonians to another defeat.
The Thistle captain converted Logan Chalmers' low cross from six yards to score his 90th goal for the club and put the visitors in front.
Thistle doubled that lead when Irish defender Dan O'Reilly scored his first for the club with a close range header from a half-cleared corner.
Adam Frizzell hit the crossbar for Airdrie and Gavin Gallagher had a shot well-saved by Myles Roberts as the hosts tried and failed to get back in the game.
It was an important victory for Kris Doolan's side as they keep the heat on the top three in the Championship, with a game in hand to come against Morton.
Airdrie have gone 140 days without a league win and the only consolation for Rhys McCabe's injury-hit team is that second bottom Dunfermline also lost.
Airdrieonians player-manager Rhys McCabe: "The first goal was our own undoing and then the second goal in quick succession is always a sickener.
"We had opportunities to do better in the final third and just lacked that cutting edge.
Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan: "It was always going to be tricky. We couldn't have asked much more than to be 2-0 up at half-time.
"Then we asked everyone to be even more professional in the second half, stick to the plan and see the game out."
