    OH, CARLISLE!!

They lead Bromley for the second time today and put the penalty miss behind them very quickly.

A short corner routine sees Connor Whelan able to step forward and scuff a finish from the edge of the box.

It might have taken a deflection, it might have been ugly, but the U's fans do not care one iota.

  2. Postpublished at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Gillingham 0-0 Walsall

Gillingham's Robbie McKenzie drills a low shot towards goal but the strike is gathered by Walsall stopper Sam Hornby.

This is just the third appearance for the keeper this season, with usual occupant Tommy Simkin out on England Under-21's duty.

He's certainly living up to the task so far though.

  3. CLOSE!published at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Peterborough 2-0 Charlton

Lovely technique from Luke Berry as he allows a ranging long ball over the top to drop over his shoulder before side-footing a first-time volley over the advancing Posh keeper Jed Steer, only for his effort from the edge of the box to loop over the bar.

    Oh Carlisle!

Bromley's Byron Webster has blocked a header on the line with his hand and the referee points to the spot.

Kadeem Harris steps up and bangs against the post. It never rains but it pours for the side at the bottom of the EFL.

  5. Postpublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Bradford 2-1 Colchester

Calum Kavanagh goes for a double but sees his fierce shot denied by U's keeper Matt Macey.

The Bantams striker has all the reason to search for glory, with the announcement ringing out that the attendance record has been broken with over 23k watching from the stands.

A big occasion and both teams are putting in big performances.

  6. Postpublished at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Wrexham 1-0 Stockport

No changes at the break, so all I'll say is keep an eye on James McClean in this second half. He is fired up today, and is already on a booking.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Peterborough 2-0 Charlton

Charlton have begun like a steam train again and Harley Mills, on his first start this year, has been booked for throwing the ball away and preventing the visitors taking a quick corner.

All Charlton since the restart and Thierry Small's curling cross somehow evades everyone before slipping past the far post.

  8. Postpublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Gillingham 0-0 Walsall

    Quick restart for Gillingham.

Jimmy-Jay Morgan fires from the edge of the box but it's sent high and wide.

  9. Postpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Peterborough 2-0 Charlton

The Addicks began the first half brightly before falling apart late in the half.

They have begun the second with a slick passing move, only for Greg Docherty to lash an unbalanced 20-yard effort over the bar.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

You'd put good money on the fact some crockery is lying in smithereens in at least one dressing room as the teams head out for the second half.

Plain sailing from here, or more drama to come? I have my suspicions...

Buckle-up. This next 45 minutes means a lot...

For 15 magic minutes, Carlisle were leading Bromley thanks to Stephen Wearne's wonderful finish, but Harry McKirdy returned to his old club to make it 1-1 at the interval.

The only other goal, outside of the featured League Two matches, has come at Cheltenham - as MK Dons are on course for their first away win since New Year's Day.

Elsewhere, we have a disappointing six goalless matches! Let's hope for a few more goals in the second periods coming up shortly.

  12. 'Harsh but I understand why it was given'published at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    HT: Wrexham 1-0 Stockport

    Joe Bunney
    Former Rochdale and Stockport defender

For the penalty, it's a strange one.

The diagonal ball comes over the top - James McClean heads it back onto Ibou Touray's hand and the ref goes over to his linesman and he gives it.

It's harsh for me but I understand why it was given,

Today has the feeling that a couple of potential runs to safety are starting.

Crawley - with Scott Lindsey back at the helm - are leading Bristol Rovers 1-0, while Cambridge lead Barnsley by the same scoreline.

Two sides just outside the drop zone are losing. Northampton are being downed by Blackpool at the break and we've already mentioned Rovers.

Lincoln and Exeter are yet to trouble the scorers.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Wrexham 1-0 Stockport

This game has had pretty much everything, but it's Wrexham who have the lead at the break.

Jay Rodriguez netted his first Red Dragons goal just before the half hour, tucking in the rebound having seen his rather tame penalty pushed aside by Corey Addai.

The penalty award looked harsh, as Ibou Touray was in mid-air with his back to the ball when he was adjudged to have handled it, but the home fans won't care.

Big game, this, and it feels like it.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Peterborough 2-0 Charlton

    Now then.

Sam Hughes' first goal for the club and former Addicks youngster Abraham Odoh's first of the season in the space of five minutes late in the half have given Posh a two-goal cushion.

Addicks have had nine attempts on goal and hit the bar through Lloyd Jones' early header but Peterborough have scored both of their attempts on target.

Nathan Jones has the face of a man who's just seen one of his players high-fiving a fan at Costa in Bluewater.

    Big 15 minutes coming up.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Bradford 2-1 Colchester

The bumper crowd at Valley Parade are being given a treat this afternoon.

Bradford's Calum Kavanagh took the lead with a speedy tap in but Colchester clawed back the equaliser within five minutes thanks to a close range goal from Harry Anderson.

Though parity was not to last before Tayo Adaramola set up George Lapslie to nod in a second and give the hosts the advantage at the break.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Gillingham 0-0 Walsall

Nothing to split Gillingham and the league leaders at the break.

  18. Postpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Wrexham 1-0 Stockport

In to five additional minutes at the end of the first-half.

Kabongo Tshimanga has the ball in the net for Swindon.

But the referee has apparently seen a foul in the build-up - it definitely looks soft. A big let-off for Accrington.

  20. 'Bradford have got their just rewards'published at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Bradford 2-1 Colchester

    Gary Jones
    Former Bradford City captain

What good teams do is how they react to disappointment and Bradford have got their just rewards with two fantastic goals.
