Promotion-chasing Walsall's dreadful run continued as they slipped to another defeat at midtable Barrow.

Aaron Pressley put the home side in front with his third goal in two games after 23 minutes as he tapped in a rebound after Tommy Simkin had saved his initial shot.

Simkin then kept the Saddlers in the contest with a string of fine saves, notably from Pressley and Isaac Fletcher.

But in the third minute of stoppage time substitute Emile Acquah sidefooted home Elliot Newby's pass for the Cumbrians' match clincher.

Walsall, now without a win in 10 games and with just two victories in 17, enjoyed more possession in the second half.

But home goalkeeper Wyll Stanway remained untested, much to the frustration of more than 600 travelling fans and boss Mat Sadler.

Despite this latest setback, Walsall remain in the automatic promotion places, four points off top spot and one ahead of fourth-placed Doncaster.

Barrow, managed by Sadler's best friend Andy Whing, have now lost only once in nine outings.
