Aldershot and Sutton played out a 1-1 draw in their end-of-season National League clash.

With both sides the embodiment of mid-table, there was little riding on this fixture but Sutton started well and put the home goal under pressure.

They went ahead with 31 minutes on the clock, Lewis Simper taking aim from the edge of the box.

Aldershot equalised 11 minutes after the break. James Henry's assist put Josh Barrett away and he did the rest, finishing off the inside of the post.

Simper fizzed a volley over the bar for Sutton as the clock ticked on, but there would be no further goals.
