Zak Rudden opens the scoring at Lesser Hampden.

It was honours even at Lesser Hampden as Zak Rudden's first league goal for Queen's Park was not enough to secure a win over Livingston in the Scottish Championship.

The 24-year-old, who joined the Spiders from Dundee in July, stroked home a pass from Jack Turner after good build-up play by Zach Mauchlin.

But Livingston, looking for an immedate return to the Premiership, restored parity on the hour mark, with Matthew Clarke turning home a corner from close range.

Neither side was able to find a breakthrough as the clock ticked down. Rudden had a shot comfortably blocked, while only to have his shot blocked, while Reece McAleer came close with a shot from distance.
