Finlay Pollock netted twice inside the first half

A Finlay Pollock double and Dylan Easton penalty gave Raith Rovers victory against fellow Scottish Championship play-off contenders Partick Thistle.

Pollock handed the hosts an early lead with a low strike before knocking in his second on 26 minutes after meeting an Easton cross into the box.

Just past the hour, Rovers forward Jamie Gullan was fouled in the penalty area, allowing Easton to convert from the spot and extend the home team's lead to three.

Barry Robson's men rise to fifth and are now six points behind fourth-place Thistle with two games in hand.
