Very interesting game.
Girona started to create opportunities themselves and Alisson was called into action with some smart saves.
Liverpool has had opportunities and Darwin Nunez had a couple that he probably should have taken. Liverpool should probably be ahead.

Liverpool look very narrow, which suits Girona. All of the play is in the centre of the pitch and we haven't had that may of those overlaps that we have become accustomed with seeing Liverpool in previous games.
I can see a change coming at half-time. I can't see Nunez staying on the pitch.

As a Watford fan, I'm not shocked by what we are seeing from Asprilla tonight. Richarlison, Joao Pedro, Asprilla - we have a knack of finding quality South American talent and selling them on for big money.

I’ve stuck up for Nunez long enough but he’s just not good enough. Missing sitter after sitter at this level is unforgivable. Slot needs to bin him off in January.

That is Darwin Nunez to a tee. That is so disappointing because it was a great break. He has to score.

The first, I'm not sure what happens, the ball comes to him inside the box but he sort of heads the ball down into himself.
The second, though, is a good run onto a ball into the box but his strong strike is saved.

RB Leipzig and Aston Villa have never previously faced each other in Europe. However, the German side have lost each of their last four matches against English sides in the UEFA Champions League, while conceding 14 goals in those four games.
This will be Aston Villa’s first away game against a German opponent in Europe since December 2008, in a 1-3 defeat to Hamburg in the UEFA Cup. Meanwhile, their last one in the European Cup/UEFA Champions League was in October 1981, in a 2-1 victory over Berliner FC Dynamo.
RB Leipzig have lost each of their last five UEFA Champions League matches, all of which have been this season. If they lose here, it will be their longest ever losing streak in the competition, and the longest by a German side overall since Bayer Leverkusen in March 2003 (7).
