GOAL - Tottenham 2-1 AZ Alkmaar (2-2 agg)published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

    Peer Koopmeiners

Back level on aggregate. This is an awful goal for Tottenham to concede.

There looks to be absolutely no danger but a mix-up between Lucas Bergvall and Wilson Odobert gifts AZ Alkmaar a chance, but what a hit, low and fierce, from Peer Koopmeiners.

The Dutch side, who have been largely outplayed tonight, are back on equal terms.

AZ Akmaar still believe they can rescue this. The lively Ernest Poku sprints into the penalty area but Micky van de Ven shows what Spurs have been missing with a solid piece of defending.

The visitors then get a shooting chance from a corner and captain Jordy Clasie, who spent four years at Southampton, drills a low effort at goal and it is close, but just wide.

Clearly, Aritz Elustondo was not impressed by that decision.

The Real Sociedad defender spent ages after the spot kick had been given pleading his innocence to Patrick Dorgu, saying he was stood in front of him and didn't move.

I didn't see Elustondo admit he took a little jump to get a bit nearer to Dorgu to block his path.

The Manchester United defender shrugged as if to say 'it was nothing to do with me'.

Three penalties - and the goalkeeper has gone the wrong way for all of them.

United now lead - and as it stands, will face Lyon in the last eight.
