After Bruno's penalty Man Utd were really good. They could have been in front. There's big second half to come.

Going sideways and backwards = no attempts on goal! What is Maresca trying to prove?

    Ian

I can deal with Chelsea being placid in defence and midfield as it draws the opposition out, but there's zero runners and zero urgency in the final third, which is unacceptable.

Tottenham 1-0 AZ Alkmaar (1-1 agg)

Tottenham lead through Wilson Odobert's goal and it is 1-1 on aggregate against AZ Alkmaar.

Spurs will fancy their chances as the Dutch side have been toothless up front so far.

Romero’s reputation as a top-class defender is appallingly undeserved. He’s had great spells for sure, but he’s spent the vast majority of his spurs career either suspended, on the treatment table or being a total liability on the pitch. There’s no doubt he’s going in the summer.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

    Chelsea 0-0 Copenhagen (2-1 agg)

As it stands, Chelsea would be going through to the quarter-finals.

However, they haven't had a shot of any kind at Stamford Bridge and there are boos at the half-time whistle.

    Chelsea 0-0 Copenhagen (2-1 agg)

Cole Palmer is warming up for Chelsea just before half-time.

No surprise given his side's lacklustre performance.

Tottenham 1-0 AZ Alkmaar (1-1 agg)

A half-chance for AZ Alkmaar as a ball drops for Zico Buurmeester. The original Zico wouldn't have liked that effort though, dragging the shot wide of goal when he should have hit the target.

  10. 'Dorgu being a bit inexperienced'published at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd 1-1 Real Sociedad (2-2 agg)

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

That's Patrick Dorgu being a bit inexperienced, he has got to roll that into Rasmus Hojlund.

    Chelsea 0-0 Copenhagen (2-1 agg)

Pedro Neto goes down in the box under pressure from Kevin Diks but the referee is having none of it.

In fairness, Neto fell to the ground rather than being pushed.

  12. Postpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd 1-1 Real Sociedad (2-2 agg)

Lots of space for Patrick Dorgu to attack and he charges forward with the ball. He has options as he gets to the box but goes for goal and his shot is a tame one.

I’ve supported Chelsea for over 50 years and I despise this current team and particularly their tactics.

    Martin

Chelsea look so slow and ponderous compared to Copenhagen! Champions League credentials are looking very weak from the London club. Struggling in the Conference in a home game!

  15. 'Positive play'published at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd 1-1 Real Sociedad (2-2 agg)

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is a good game. Both teams are working hard with and without the ball.

Alejandro Garnacho tried to cross the ball, positive play.

    Chelsea 0-0 Copenhagen (2-1 agg)

Tyrique George has been the bright spark so far for Chelsea.

He is bobbing and weaving through the Copenhagen defence with ease and plays a ball into the path of Jadon Sancho but the Manchester United loanee is offside.

Good play down the right by Manchester United ends with Alejandro Garnacho's low cross knocked behind by Nayef Aguerd.

Another corner for Manchester United but Patrick Dorgu's volley from the delivery is just over.

Tottenham 1-0 AZ Alkmaar (1-1 agg)

Son Heung-min is enjoying himself out there with a barnstorming run from the halfway line. He sees his shot blocked, but Lucas Bergvall then has an opportunity, only to curl the ball over the bar.

  19. Zirkzee's improvementpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd 1-1 Real Sociedad (2-2 agg)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

It is just over 10 weeks since Joshua Zirkzee suffered the embarrassment of being jeered off as he was substituted after half an hour of what turned out to be a home defeat by Newcastle.

At the time, the Manchester United forward was not playing well and there were questions over whether Zirkzee would leave during the January transfer window.

Well, Zirkzee showed impressive fortitude not to let his head drop and is now growing into his role with United.

That bit of skill to create a chance for Rasmus Hojlund was an example of his impressive close control.

Zirkzee deserves a huge amount of praise. Many players would have gone under in his situation.

  20. Postpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

    Chelsea 0-0 Copenhagen (2-1 agg)

Tyrique George plays a great through ball into the path of Pedro Neto but the Portuguese can't quite run on to it.

It has been a frustrating night for him so far.
