  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Arsenal 1-0 Aston Villa

Sabrina D'Angelo keeps Villa in this with a fine double save.

First the Canadian stops Mariona Caldentey's low drove from the left with a diving stop, then is quickly to her feet to block Frida Maanum's follow-up with her left leg.

That's number four, and with it the floodlights have just come on.

City are shining. Clearly a level above.

    Chelsea 0-0 Brighton

Chelsea whip a free-kick in from the left but Millie Bright's header is comfortably caught by Sophie Baggaley. The WSL leaders are on top but Brighton are doing just about enough at the back to hold out.

  5. goal

    Mary Fowler (58 mins)

    What a strike that is!

Leila Ouahabi's cross isn't dealt with by the Leicester defence and the ball bounces kindly at the feet of Mary Fowler.

The Australian accepts the invitation to shoot on the volley and rifles it into the top corner.

    Man City 3-0 Leicester

    Oof! Almost four.

Yui Hasegawa took aim from range and it took a wicked deflection off Ruby Mace that had Janina Leitzig scrambling.

Fortunately for Leicester the ball landed just wide of the target.

    FT: Manchester United 4-0 Liverpool

    Manchester United

Manchester United's Dominique Janssen speaking to Sky Sports: "I had a lot of fun today. Everything clicked well for me. There are bits and pieces I still need to do better. Honestly, I am happy with my first goal for United, but getting the win is the most important thing.

"Today was good. It was important to get the first goal and then follow it up with the second soon after. It was nice that we got the job done today."

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

I'm sorry everyone, but I still can't really work out what the Tottenham penalty was given for.

Nobody seems to be appealing for anything, nobody is brought to the ground. Tottenham don't care though, they have the lead again after dominating the first half.

Rachel Daly gives away a free kick 30 yards from her own goal, and literally jumps up and down on the spot in frustration.

She is told to calm down as Arsenal line up the set piece.

Katie McCabe strikes the dead ball well, but it is straight at Sabrina D'Angelo.

  10. Postpublished at 14:14 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Man City 3-0 Leicester

It is a shame for Leicester.

They had begun to "give trouble" to City in the closing stages of the first half and the start of the second as boss Amandine Miquel had hoped for, but that just goes to show the gulf in quality between the sides.

Three chances and three goals for the home side. That's why they are chasing the title.

Lucy Bronze takes on a bouncing first-time ball on the edge of the area and does well to send it on target, but a deflection prevents Sophie Baggaley having to make a save. Great game so far.

  12. Postpublished at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

Aston Villa keeper Sabrina D'Angelo, facing the team she departed in the summer, does well to get a good punch on a dangerous cross from the left.

  17. CLOSE!published at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Chelsea 0-0 Brighton

Huge opportunity for Brighton to take a surprise lead at Kingsmeadow but Jelena Cankovic can't pick her spot with the goal gaping and Chelsea clear off the line.

    Ruthless.

Just as Leicester looked to be working a way back into the game, Jess Park makes it 3-0 to the hosts.

It was a wonderful passing move through the middle of the pitch, Alex Greenwood to Jill Roord to Yui Hasegawa, who set Park in behind to finish with a low drive into the bottom corner.

    Man City 2-0 Leicester

Leicester have picked up where they left off at the end of the first half.

Courtney Nevin curls the ball into the box from a corner but City goalscorer Bunny Shaw uses her aerial prowess to complete her defensive duties this time, heading the ball well clear of danger.
