  3. goal

GOAL - West Ham 1-2 Crystal Palacepublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Viviane Asseyi (17 mins)

The hosts are back in it!

Sloppy play from Crystal Palace in their defensive third presents Seraina Piubel with the ball just inside the box.

The Swiss international beats her marker and crosses into the six yard box for Viviane Asseyi to tap home.

    Game on!

  4. Postpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Tottenham are closing in on a much-needed three points which will lift them up to sixth.

Everton certainly aren't out of it but time is quickly running out now for the visitors.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Arsenal 2-0 Aston Villa

Very comfortable for the hosts so far. That second goal means Arsenal are up to third in the WSL as we stand, ahead of Manchester United on goals scored.

  6. Postpublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Man City 4-0 Leicester

Not much has happened at Joie Stadium in the last 10 minutes or so aside from several stoppages for substitutions.

Simone Sherwood is on for her WSL debut for Leicester, replacing Saori Takarada.

  7. 'Poor from West Ham'published at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC One

That's poor from West Ham. I don't know how much goalkeeper Kinga Szemik can see, but there was not much pace on the shot at all from Indiah-Paige Riley and it's bypassed everyone into the back of the net. The goalkeeper didn't move at all!

It's the worst start possible for the home side.

  8. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 2-1 Brightonpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Jelena Cankovic (43 mins)

Brighton get themselves back in it!

It's great work by Nikita Parris to dodge a couple of tackles and pick out her team-mate, before Jelena Cankovic sweeps home to halve the deficit.

Brighton deserved something for their efforts in this first half.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Heather Payne and goalscorer Sara Holmgaard leave the field as Everton boss Brian Sorensen chases an equaliser, sending on Toni Payne and Emma Bissell.

Arsenal come close to a third, Beth Mead jinking between Villa defenders before squaring to Alessia Russo. Her powerful effort is saved by the knees of Sabrina D'Angelo.

D'Angelo the does well to tip away a cross-shot following the resultant corner, which nearly flew over her head and in.

  11. goal

GOAL - West Ham 0-2 Crystal Palacepublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Indiah-Paige Riley (11 mins)

    What happened there?!

Crystal Palace do well to press West Ham and nick the ball back in the final third.

Indiah-Paige Riley then receives the ball on the edge of the box and fires a speculative effort at goal, and it bobbles all the way through into the far bottom corner.

West Ham had several players in between Paige-Riley and the net but no one could stop the ball rolling in.

Stream update, the commentary has finally started on the official WSL YouTube feed of this game. It took until the 38th minute and the commentator sounds like he's at the bottom of a deep well.

  13. goal

    Agnes Beever-Jones (40 mins)

Horrible moment for Brighton goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley.

Once again Brighton are punished while trying to play out, but this time it's Baggaley who taks too long on the ball and is dispossessed by Agnes Beever-Jones who simply has to roll the ball over the line.

After a promising start, Brighton's good work has been swiftly undone.

  14. Postpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 0-1 Crystal Palace

West Ham try to hit back immediately through Riko Ueki who shoots from the edge of the box. Her effort is deflected wide for a corner.

The ball is then swung into the middle but Crystal Palace clear their lines well.

  15. Postpublished at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Man City 4-0 Leicester

Aoba Fujino floats a cross into the box but no one in Man City blue can jump high enough to nod it home.

Penny for the thoughts of Bunny Shaw who came off a few minutes ago just one goal shy of yet another hat-trick...

  16. goal

GOAL - Arsenal 2-0 Aston Villapublished at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Beth Mead (39 mins)

    A second for Arsenal!

Alessia Russo turns a cross from the right wing onto the far post, and it rebounds perfectly for Beth Mead to tap in.

A real uphill task for Villa now.

  17. 'Palace have controlled the game'published at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC One

It's good build-up play form Crystal Palace and a calm, composed finish from Mille Gejl. she just passes it into the bottom corner.

We are only five minutes in and Palace have controlled this game so far, and they've punished West Ham.

  18. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 1-0 Brightonpublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Sjoeke Nusken (35 mins)

Chelsea get the opener but it's a gift from the visitors.

Brighton continue to insist on playing out from the back under pressure and this time it doesn't pay off.

Sjoeke Nusken wins possession inside the Brighton box and manages to squeeze the ball over the line as the Brighton defence tried desperately to salvage the situation.

  19. goal

GOAL - West Ham 0-1 Crystal Palacepublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Mille Gejl (6 mins)

The first attack of the game brings about the first goal and it's the visitors who hit the front!

Annabel Blanchard slides a low ball into the feet of Mille Gejl on the edge of the box.

The midfielder clears her feet and drives the ball under the advancing Kinga Szemik to give her side the lead.

  20. Postpublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Chelsea 0-0 Brighton

Brighton continue to do just enough in defence, clearing - somewhat unconvincingly - Chelsea's latest corner after a bit of a scramble.

Moments later Johanna Rytting Kaneryd is in but blazes well over.
