Brad Spencer celebrates his winning goal
Brad Spencer’s late goal extended Falkirk’s perfect start to the Championship season with victory over 10-man Partick Thistle.
Thistle played over an hour a man down after Ben Stanway’s dismissal following two bookings, the second of which for diving.
Liam Henderson broke the deadlock in spectacular style just before the hour mark, his stunning 25-yard strike flying into the top corner.
Thistle battled back bravely and substitute Terry Ablade poked home from 10 yards to draw the visitors level.
Partick keeper Myles Roberts produced some stunning stops but was powerless to prevent Spencer smashing home the winner seven minutes from the end.
Falkirk remain in second place in the table, while Thistle drop to ninth.
