Fleetwood made it successive wins with a convincing 4-1 victory over Accrington.

The Cod Army took the lead on nine minutes when midfielder Mark Helm got the ball in the area, made space and fired low into the net.

They continued to create the better chances, with former Stanley academy striker Owen Devonport clipping an effort wide and Louie Marsh denied by the foot of goalkeeper Billy Crellin.

Fleetwood stopper Jay Lynch pulled off a point-blank save to stop Kelsey Mooney equalising on 35 minutes.

Stanley started the second half strongly and got their rewards on 52 minutes through a Ben Woods strike from the edge of the area.

However Fleetwood came back on 62 minutes with Phoenix Patterson's 30-yard free kick nestling into the bottom of the net.

Conor Grant headed into his own goal from Matty Virtue's cross on 85 minutes before a Mackenzie Hunt curling free-kick on 90 minutes made it an emphatic win for Town.

The defeat made it four games without a win for Stanley, who are still in a relegation fight.
