Mykhailo Mudryk fizzes one across the box but it's too close to goal and an easy get for Heidenheim goalkeeper Kevin Muller.

    The New Saints 0-0 Djurgarden

First chance for the hosts as Ben Clark sprays the ball out wide to Jordan Williams, but the winger's low cross into the box is too close to the Djurgarden keeper.

The reason why Heidenheim have gone from the lower tiers of German football to the Bundesliga is because they run, they work hard. They close down the opponents quickly. Frank Schmidt has got this team going.

Chelsea will have to concentrate and work hard to win the battle first.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17:49 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November

    Heidenheim 0-0 Chelsea

A very early yellow card for Benoit Badiashile and with it a free-kick for Heidenheim in a decent area.

Mikkel Kaufmann can't quite get his effort on target from Leo Scienza's delivery.

  5. Postpublished at 17:48 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November

    The New Saints 0-0 Djurgarden

Decent start from the visitors who dance down the right and test The New Saints keeper Connor Roberts, but the Welsh stopper is equal to it.

  6. Postpublished at 17:47 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November

    Cercle Brugge 0-0 Hearts

Cercle Brugge are below full strength tonight, with top scorer Kevin Denkey suspended and first choice keeper Warleson also absent. A real chance then for Hearts to get something here.

The first chance of note goes to the hosts though, as Thibo Somers' shot is deflected into the side netting.

    Joe Cole

What a fantastic game this is for Heidenheim. It's a fantastic story. They are a small-town club and they have won consecutive promotions to play in Europe now.

It's not going to be an 8-0 rollover for Chelsea. This is going to be Chelsea's first real test in the Conference League. But I expect them to get a win.

    Heidenheim v Chelsea (17:45 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca speaking to TNT Sports: "We always try to set up with the best team. It's a different competition tonight but the most important game right now is tonight's match.

"All games are tough and tonight is going to be a tough one as well."

On returning Jadon Sancho: "It's very good news. Unfortunately, he was ill but now he's back and fit and hopefully he can help us."

On Christopher Nkunku: "He needs to continue doing what he has been doing. Christo is doing well and he is in my plans for the Premier League matches as well."

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall needs to do the same thing he's been doing in every game. He's been fantastic whenever he's got the opportunity. He will be starting for any other team outside of the Premier League top four.

But he's got the toughest job at Chelsea. The club have spent a lot of money in the midfield. He's competing with all of those players and he is doing a good job.

  13. Hearts 'very different' to Kilmarnock - Brugge bosspublished at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November

Cercle Brugge v Hearts (17.45 GMT)

Cercle Brugge boss Miron Muslic anticipates an open match, saying Hearts present a "very different" challenge to Kilmarnock, who they beat 2-1 on aggregate in the summer in Europa League qualifying.

The Austrian described Hearts as "very well coached, clear patterns, possession-based, adding: "They feel very comfortable with the ball.

"Kilmarmock was way more physical, way more direct, with long balls picking up the second. I think this is also in the repertoire of Hearts, but still with the capacity and the quality to progress from the defence to the midfield, looking for [Lawrence] Shankland as a clear target player.

"What they do have in common is that it's a Scottish team. They will go fully, they will be intense.

"I think we have all the weapons, the tools and the possibilities to go after Hearts and to play for the three points, knowing that they are also here to perform."

It's a big tournament for a lot of these Chelsea players. They have the opportunity to go all the way in the Conference League. Chelsea won't be too troubled by most of these teams.

All of the Chelsea players were so professional in their last game against Noah. They looked like they have been training well and I expect another comfortable victory for them against .

  15. What Hearts can expect from Cercle Bruggepublished at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November

Cercle Brugge v Hearts (17.45 GMT)

Despite Heart of Midlothian's lowly position in the Scottish Premiership and a run of three successive defeats, most fans will view their latest Conference League match with some confidence.

While Neil Critchley's side have stumbled out of the starting blocks domestically, two wins from their first two games in Europe means they look likely to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Cercle Brugge stand in their way on Thursday and a point or better seems more than attainable.

Cercle finished fourth in the Belgian Pro League last season, but over the summer they were dealt several blows as key players exited. Centre-back Jesper Daland joined Cardiff, Leonardo Lopes and Boris Popovic were allowed to leave, while loanees Hugo Siquet and Felix Lemarechal departed.

A rebuild followed but the turnover in players, plus the addition of European football has led to a poor domestic campaign.

Cercle find themselves in a relegation play-off spot, 14th in the 16-team league.

Chelsea currently sit second in the Europa Conference League with three wins from three and a pretty decent goal difference. Above them are Vitoria Guimaraes, who have already played this evening, securing a draw against Astana.

Could they cruise through to the last 16 with six from six? Or will they face a stumbling block this evening?

The latest hamstring setback for Chelsea defender Reece James has caused concern externally but the club believes initial scans to be positive.

However, Chelsea remain guarded over potential timeframes for recovery, after a report in the Telegraph, external that James will be out for at least one month.

They are keen to reduce the pressure on their captain as he begins rehabilitation.

That's reflected in manager Enzo Maresca's guarded position when asked about his fitness, he said: "Yes [he's had a scan] - the only thing we can say is that he is getting better day by day.

Manager Craig Harrison says The New Saints can be “really pleased” with their campaign at the halfway point in the Europa Conference League.

Harrison’s side host Djurgaden of Sweden and are currently 24th in the table which would, just about, secure a place in the knockout phase play-offs.
