If you missed the news yesterday, Everton have been deducted two points for a second breach of Premier League financial rules.

Profit and sustainability rules (PSR) permit clubs to lose £105m over three years and an independent commission found Everton breached that by £16.6m for the three-year period to 2022-23.

They drop one place to 16th and are now two points above the relegation zone.

The Toffees had a 10-point deduction reduced to six on appeal in February for the three-year period to 2021-22.

Everton say the club will appeal against the decision.

The Merseyside club could yet face a further points deduction in relation to interest costs associated with the building of the club's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, though that issue is unlikely to be resolved before the end of the season.

    Look away now Everton fans.

Bayern Munich star Harry Kane might be the lead image in the Telegraph but it's worrying times for Everton with a further points deduction still hanging over them.

Everton's second points deduction of the season was confirmed yesterday, sanctioned a further two points to take their overall hit for financial breaches to eight points.

But it might not be over there with the Telegraph reporting that "unresolved issues" could lead to a new hearing in the summer.

The pair locked horns pretty severely when the two clubs met in the first leg of their semi-final tie at the Bernabeu last season.

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has also labelled Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane as the "best finisher in the world" ahead of tonight's meeting.

    Daily Mirror

The Mirror lead on Real Madrid's plan to close the roof at the Bernabeu for tonight's Champions League tie. The Spanish side hope it might help to make it a "hostile cauldron" against the defending champions.

There's a roofing theme of sorts with Mikel Arteta hoping his players can raise the metaphorical roof at the Emirates when Bayern Munich come to town tonight.

Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has sent a warning to City striker Erling Haaland, insisting their battle tonight will be "personal".

We'll be hearing that iconic Champions League music once again tonight as two Premier League clubs - Arsenal and Manchester City - look to make a positive start to their quarter-final ties against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid respectively.

The draw for the semi-finals has already been made and we know that an all-English final is off the cards with Arsenal and City set to meet in the last-four if they come through this round.

This season's final takes place at Wembley, possibly offering a slight edge to either of those two English teams if they get through.

Arsenal welcome Bayern Munich to Emirates stadium, with former Tottenham striker Harry Kane looking back in town after joining the German club over the summer.

There's also further action in Women's European Championship qualifying.

Wales feature at 13:00 BST with a trip to Kosovo, Northern Ireland head to Bosnia and Herzegovina for a 14:30 BST kick-off, while the Republic of Ireland host England at 19:30 BST
