Raith Rovers stunned Hamilton Academical with a three-goal first half to secure a win that lifts the Fife side six points clear of their hosts and up to sixth place in the Scottish Championship.

Rovers got off to a flying start, with on-loan Heart of Midlothian midfielder Finlay Pollock firing into the bottom corner following a fast break after only three minutes.

Jamie Gullan, in the striker's second game after returning to the club from Dundalk, slotted the second following a seventh-minute corner and on-loan Barnsley forward Aiden Marsh found the bottom corner just after the half-hour mark.

Accies could not reduce the deficit after the break as Rovers secured a fifth consecutive win at New Douglas Park to move a point above Greenock Morton, albeit having played a game more.

Hamilton's third straight league loss - and second 3-0 defeat on the bounce - leaves them third bottom, two points above Dunfermline Athletic but with a game in hand.
