Charlie Adam's Fleetwood Town produced one of the shocks of the night in the Carabao Cup as they knocked out Championship side West Bromwich Albion.
The League Two minnows even had to come from behind after young Baggies striker Mo Faal made a dream start to his full Albion debut by scoring inside six minutes.
But Fleetwood were level on 12 minutes from Ryan Graydon's right-foot shot, and the winning goal came on 33 minutes when Ronan Coughlan found the bottom right corner.
It took seven minutes of added time against an inexperienced second-string Albion side before the upset was assured, confirming the Cod Army's safe passage to round two.
Faal, on his first Albion appearance since April 2023, put the visitors in front when he chipped home a left-footed shot from summer signing Devante Cole's through ball.
But Fleetwood’s Ryan Broom had already had a shot cleared off the line before the hosts were level on 12 minutes when, from Danny Mayor's assist, Graydon's right-foot shot from outside the box found the bottom left corner.
And, on 33 minutes, the Cod Army were ahead when Matty Virtue broke down the inside-right channel, picked out Coughlan on the left side of the area and he drew Albion's debutant keeper Joe Wildsmith before finding the bottom right corner.
Carlos Corberan had made a full 11 changes from the side that made such a great start to the Championship season by beating QPR 3-1 with a Josh Maja hat-trick at Loftus Road on Saturday.
But their best chance came when former Fleetwood striker Cole - who was booed with his every touch - forced a 65th-minute save from home keeper Jay Lynch.
