Never nice to see an injury like that, but to upgrade the (justified) yellow based on the severity of an incredibly unlucky injury doesn’t sit well. There is always a risk of injury in any tackle, and Janssen makes sure to keep studs down. No malice, just an unfortunate tangle.

Terrible officiating. In what world was that a red card? Gio went down awkwardly which caused the injury, the challenge wasn't even bad. I'm baffled at that decision. United should look into getting that rescinded.
