    Crewe are shell shocked!

They have started this game bright and worked on their balls in to Calum Kavanagh - they are able to play some great one touch football.

It was a perfect start! It settles the fans down and the players can settle into the game.

  11. Bantams to edge the Railwaymen?published at 14:57 British Summer Time 5 April

    Bradford v Crewe (15:00 BST)

    Naz Premji
    Final Score

On Grand National day, in the race for League Two promotion the pace setters are all having their own stutter heading into the elbow.

Bradford City are very much in the automatic promotion picture and today's visitors Crewe are very much in the play-off picture so this is a big game.

Both these sides have been very inconsistent in recent weeks and both have a win, a loss and a draw in their last three games.

I just think the Bantams who generally are very good here at the University of Bradford Stadium might just edge a tight game against the Railwaymen.

  12. Bradford aiming for top spot against Crewepublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 5 April

    Bradford v Crewe (15:00 BST)

Third-placed Bradford have won 11 of their last 12 home league games, scoring 23 times in that run whilst only conceding five goals.

In this match up Bradford are unbeaten across their last six home league games against Crewe, keeping a clean sheet in five of those matches.

Crewe sit one spot below the play-offs with a superior goal difference to Grimsby one place above them.

No side have suffered fewer away defeats in League Two this season than Crewe (4); however, only Colchester (11) have drawn more games on the road than the Railwaymen (10 – W6).

Crewe have lost just one of their last six league games against Bradford, with each of those three wins coming via a one goal margin, will we see a higher margin of victory today? Stay tuned to find out.

  13. Elsewhere in League Onepublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 5 April

Stockport County are hoping to get closer to the automatic promotion spots with a victory over Exeter City, who won't have boss Gary Caldwell in the dugout who is serving a two-match ban.

Huddersfield will look to break back into the top six as they host Mansfield Town.

Wigan Athletic seek an end to their three-match winless run with a trip to see a play-off chasing Leyton Orient.

While Northampton Town will be looking to avoid a fourth match without a win but face the tough task of visiting an in-form Peterborough United.

Blackpool are surging to a fine end to the season and are also in the mix of the play-offs, seeking a fourth consecutive league win as they visit Rotherham United.

As for Shrewsbury and Cambridge, well, any win would do and today they face off with the Salops having the chance to get on level pegging with their basement rivals.

Meanwhile Crawley Town will be aiming to take advantage of Stevenage's dip in form in order to close in on an escape from relegation danger.

  14. Rovers look up while Bolton try to keep hold of their spotpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 5 April

Bolton v Bristol Rovers (15:00 BST)

Bristol Rovers are treading on dangerous ground.

While they won't find themselves in a relegation place just yet, the losses are mounting and a defeat today will mean they've missed out on the chance to exit striking distance of Burton Albion.

Though a win could see them six points clear, with boss Inigo Calderon telling BBC Radio Bristol that his side have to "take the positives".

"You cannot get crazy, you cannot feel sorry for yourself, you have to keep going because when you are down there in the table, football is like that - it's cruel, it's brutal against you," Calderon said.

But plagued by four successive losses, the threat of relegation looming and today facing a side wanting to keep their spot in the play-offs - how many positives are left to take?

  15. Addicks gatecrashing promotion party?published at 14:49 British Summer Time 5 April

    Charlton v Lincoln (15:00 BST)

With Birmingham seemingly marching towards the League One title, it has been a two-horse race for the remaining automatic promotion spot between Wrexham and Wycombe for some time.

But Charlton are making quite the surge to close in and trail second spot by nine points with a game to play ahead of the visit of Lincoln, while they're only three behind the Chairboys.

The Addicks were 14th when they drew 0-0 at home to Mansfield on 14 December but 15 wins from 21 games since then, including nine straight victories at The Valley, has propelled them into contention.

"It's all about us, we have to keep trying to win games, trying to get three points," Jones told the club website, external after a 2-1 win at Mansfield on Tuesday. "There is a relentlessness about others as well so all we have to do is set our own tempo and see where we are."

As for Lincoln, it's been a solid season but nothing more and they're lingering in a relative no man's land with six games remaining, sitting 10 points behind the play-off spots and 14 clear of the drop zone.

  16. Can ex-Villa man Hourihane spring an upset?published at 14:48 British Summer Time 5 April

    Birmingham v Barnsley (15:00 BST)

    Tom Gayle
BBC Final Score at St Andrews @ Knighthead Park

Short sleeves and shades the uniform for both squads whilst completing their pre-match walk/pitch inspection.

Without kicking a ball Birmingham’s path back to the Championship has been reduced. With Wycombe losing already today, they now need just five points to secure promotion.

Barnsley interim boss Conor Hourihane has already been on the receiving end of a few jeers (that’s putting it politely) as unsurprisingly some of the locals haven’t forgotten his Aston Villa connections.

The Irishman's still awaiting a first managerial win ahead of this his fifth game in charge. The argument for an upset lies in Barnsley being better on the road, with 10 of their 15 victories secured away from home.

  17. Blues on the cusp of League One titlepublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 5 April

    Birmingham v Barnsley (15:00 BST)

It's probably a case of when, not if Birmingham City win League One as they hold an eight-point lead at the top with three games in hand.

The Blues technically need another eight points to secure the title and automatic promotion to the Championship, though with their superior goal difference, seven will probably do the job.

Chris Davies' side have lost just once in their previous 24 matches (W18 D5) and are still unbeaten at St Andrew's this season, where they've won nine on the bounce.

Any hopes of reaching the play-offs for Barnsley have massively tailed off with a six-game winless run (D2 L4).

The Tykes are 11 points behind Reading in sixth and have won just three of their past 15 games (D3 L9).

Port Vale are on top... for now.

Bradford City now have the opportunity to strike as they host Crewe Alexandra to go ahead.

While Walsall may need to keep looking behind, with their form fading away and at risk of dropping out of an automatic promotion very soon.

  19. Wrexham and Reading make gainspublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 5 April

    #bbcefl

How significant will those two lunchtime results be in the context of the promotion, play-off and relegation battles in League One?

Wrexham move six points clear of Wycombe in third after beating Burton 3-0, while the Chairboys lost 1-0 at Reading.

The Royals are up into the top six and the Brewers remain in the bottom four, three points adrift of Bristol Rovers having played the same number of games.

Charlton could even go level on points with Wycombe if they beat Lincoln this afternoon.

  20. 'The Saddlers didn't have the cutting edge'published at 14:43 British Summer Time 5 April

    FT: Walsall 2-3 Port Vale

    Andrew Dawkins
    BBC Radio WM commentator

The Saddlers didn't have the cutting edge, and the Port Vale fans are bouncing away to our right.

But there is still hope and five games to go and if we look at the positives The Saddlers were never really out of it.
