Re Ian's 9:27 comment, I'm surprised he thinks Qarabag are one of the best teams in the world!

For Wojciech Szczesny, the allure of Barcelona seems too strong to resist.
The former Poland and Arsenal goalkeeper retired in August 2024 saying it felt right to leave the game to focus on his family, adding his heart was no longer in the game.
But, according to reports, he is to link up with the La Liga leaders after an injury for first-choice keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is likely to be out for the rest of the season.
"I understand the difficult situation that has arisen for them after Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's injury and I think it would be disrespectful of me not to consider this option," Szczesny told Spanish news outlet Sport on Thursday.
"I have a lot of respect for Barca's history, it is one of the best clubs in the world."
Ter Stegen had surgery after rupturing the patella tendon in his right knee during a 5-1 win over Villarreal at the weekend.
Newcastle United's CEO Darren Eales will step down from his position after being diagnosed with a chronic form of blood cancer.
The club say that Eales will continue to lead the club's executive team until his successor is appointed.
There are four pots with four teams in each for the draw. Here are which clubs are in which pots:
Pot 1:
Pot 2:
Pot 3:
Pot 4:
The qualifying stage is over and we know all 16 teams who will compete in the group stage, they just need drawing into groups which is what is happening at midday today.
So how does that work? Well all 16 clubs are seeded which has seen them put into four different draw pots.
The first pot has the title holders (Barcelona) as well as the domestic champions of the three top-ranked associations. The other three pots are based on their coefficient ranking from the start of the season.
Two-time winner Fatmire Alushi will be drawing the clubs from the pots. She will start with the first pot and then run through them all until the groups are established.

Both North London clubs should focus less on each other and try to focus on City. The Northern end of the country has been dominating the league for a long time.

Wolves v Liverpool (Sat, 17:30 BST)
Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League table, just one point behind leaders Manchester City. So far they have won four games and lost one.
The reign of Arne Slot started perfectly with a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town and they followed it up with a victory against Brentford. The Reds then beat Manchester United before falling to a shock defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool bounced back with a win over Bournemouth last time out in the league to take winning momentum into their game against Wolves on Saturday.

Finally from Liverpool manager Arne Slot, his thoughts on Liverpool's start to the season: "I think it’s been a positive start, with the small disappointment of losing to Nottingham Forest.
"It is always disappointing to lose at home, especially with a team not challenging for the top four, but you never know what Forest are going to do this season.
"The style of play is similar to the last nine years, but that’s good because the squad is similar to what Jurgen (Klopp) had. Maybe it will get harder because of the next fixtures.
"It has been a good start, but not a perfect one."
Wolves v Liverpool (Sat, 17:30 BST)
Liverpool manager Arne Slot on facing Wolves and their start to the season: "That’s difficult for me to judge because I wasn’t here last season, it’s still a small sample size.
"Until now, most of the teams we have faced have been in the bottom half of the table.
"We still have a lot of fixtures, we have scored a lot of goals but maybe that is with the fixture list, let’s see if we can continue scoring when the fixture list gets harder.
On Luis Diaz's start to the season: "A great player of his quality will always score goals."

No dog in this fight but come on, no disrespect but comparing Qarabag to Man City is a big nonsensical isn’t it? Almost as bad as Spurs fans lauding up about winning against City with ten men when their player was sent off in the 87th minute… Still a great result but as a ‘got ya’ against an Arsenal side who did very well for a whole half with 10, it is absolute nonsense.

Wolves v Liverpool (Sat, 17:30 BST)
Liverpool manager Arne Slot on facing Wolves and their start to the season: "I learn day by day all of the time about my players.
"Of course you know the quality, you can see it. We haven’t had many setbacks, we had the Forest game but that’s it. How do we react to setbacks, we have to learn day by day.
"That’s what I’m doing and you have to adjust to trigger them to get the best out of them."
Wolves v Liverpool (Sat, 17:30 BST)
Liverpool manager Arne Slot on facing Wolves and their start to the season: "I don’t think it represents how they have played, they have had very difficult fixtures and you have to take this into account.
"I’ve watched some of their games, they should’ve got more than they got.
"They will be fine at the end of the season."

Neil in Notts - one North London club has won European trophies and one North London club hasn’t.
Matt, West Kensington
Matt, all for the banter, but Arsenal did win the Cup Winners' Cup in 1994. Oh, and the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1970.
Wolves v Liverpool (Sat, 17:30 BST)
Liverpool manager Arne Slot on the futures of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohammed Salah: "I’m very happy that these players are in my team at the moment.
"There’s a lot of games this season and in the upcoming weeks, let’s see what happens in the future."
Wolves v Liverpool (Sat, 17:30 BST)
Liverpool manager Arne Slot on his range of attacking options available: "For me, it says two things. The players have a lot of quality and the team are always creating chances for the players that are selected for that game.
"Because we have so much quality, we can create assists or goals."
Wolves v Liverpool (Sat, 17:30 BST)
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has spoken to media before their match against Wolves and said on Alisson's injury: "We think he is [ready to return].
"He trained yesterday part of our session, we expect him to do the whole session today.
"We’re really happy, but I want to emphasise did really well with the two games with [Kelleher]. Another example of where we have two or three good options in some positions."

The Partizan comments are crazy, both Spurs and Arsenal did well, Spurs were not playing mugs they are a decent team, to remain positive and score 3 was clearly excellent attitude and belief and effort, Meanwhile Most teams lose to City with 11 players, so to hold onto to a point , get very close to the win was also excellent, They had to park the bus, attacking City with 10 men would have been foolish Stop being armchair fans and give people praise for a good job. And yes as a Spurs fan I can easily acknowledge Arsenal as a fantastic team, it's called being a footy fan and having sportsmanship which should override everything else.

Wolves v Liverpool (Sat, 17:30 BST)
It is still to be determined whether Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah remain at Liverpool beyond this season.
All three are yet to sign new deals at the club with their contracts set to expire in the summer of 2025.
Discussing the topic on the Planet Premier League podcast, former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha said he believes "two of them" will stay at Anfield.
"I expect them to sign a new deal before January. That's what I think and it would just be like business as usual," said Onuoha. "And then whoever that third is, they'll explain their reasons.
"The first thing about all three of them is they've been great servants for Liverpool and if they were to leave, which I'm sure most fans wouldn't want from them, you know they'll be carried out of the place and thanked for their service.
"So they've handled it very well, which doesn't surprise me, but they're also handling it so well that I believe that they are in negotiations."

Former Premier League midfielder and ex-Liverpool youth player Craig Hignett, speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside about a superb start to the season made by Reds winger Luis Diaz:
"He's been incredible. It's not just the goals he's scored, but what he's creating for the team and his impact in games.
"For me, he's been Liverpool's standout player at the start of the season. He's been so electric.
"Not only that, his forward play has been outstanding but the other side of it as well; getting back, tracking runners, doing the horrible stuff forwards don't want to do - he does it and he's a willing runner to do it.
"When you had Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino up front, the two wide players scored more goals than the central player. It's getting a bit like that with Diaz and Salah.
"If Diaz gets to 20 goals this season, that would be phenomenal. And he's got a real chance. He looks sharper - I know he had lots of problems last season that were well-documented and maybe that did take a toll on him - but he's come back and looks absolutely razor sharp."
