It's a massive game. The only thing that lies on this game is fast forward to next season with the Champions League spots.

There's a massive difference between finishing second and third. With the Euros this summer, there's only four weeks after the Euros final that there's qualifying for the Champions League if you finish third.

That's a massive difference and if you finish second you go into the third round and you have that time to rest.

I'm sure both of these teams will be fully focused on that today.

The WSL trophy was on the pitch before kick-off and Chelsea will lift it after full-time.

There were also presentations for long-serving players Sophie Ingle and Zecira Musovic, who will leave the club at the end of their contracts.

A tribute will be given to former journalist Paul Lagan, who sadly passed away last week.

He was a huge Chelsea fan and regularly covered their matches in the WSL and Premier League.

A wreath has been laid in his place in the media box at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal v Man Utd (12:30 BST)

Man City were quite a few points off at one point, so for it to come down to that game was pure relief for United to be in those Champions League spots. But fair play to them, they have gone under the radar a little this season - probably because of how much Chelsea have spent.

They just wanted to win games, roll on and get their heads down. They have fought as a team and could potentially retain the FA Cup which would be an amazing achievement.

Marc Skinner has done a great job this season, and second place would give them a great chance of getting into the Champions League league phase.

Leicester City v West Ham (12:30 BST)

For West Ham a victory over 11th-placed Leicester, combined with Liverpool failing to pick up three points against Chelsea, would see them equal their previous best Women's Super League finish of sixth, set back in the 2021-22 campaign.

"Equalling [2021-22] will be fantastic, especially given the way the game's evolved, said boss Rehanne Skinner. "We've got to keep our feet on the ground for one more game. We can't be thinking about the end result before we've played the game."

It would be just the second time in Hammers history that they have finished in the top flight's top six, having started 2025 just three points clear of the relegation zone.

Yet Skinner knows that the squad will need to make further improvements to remain in the mix next term.

She added, "It's no secret our away form needs to improve if we're going to be really competitive. We've got several things right this year but it doesn't ever stop."

Leicester City boss Amandine Miquel says this season has been her hardest as a coach.

Having joined the club in July 2024, Miquel has seen her side battle relegation in the last two seasons, with a never-ending injury crisis making the current campaign particularly difficult.

Asked if this campaign has allowed her to show her best as a manager, Miquel said: "No I don't think it has. I have had all struggles you can have in your life, in one season. But people will look at the table, not in context. "

The Foxes are currently one point short of their total from last season ahead of their final game against West Ham at King Power stadium.

Miquel added: "Just not being relegated is good enough, given everything we had to deal with. Hopefully we have a chance to start fresh next season, as a real first season."

  8. 'As it stands, this is the last game'published at 12:14 British Summer Time 10 May

Man City v Crystal Palace (12:30 BST)

    Nick CushingImage source, Getty Images

Man City interim boss Nick Cushing confirmed this week that there have been "no conversations" between himself and club about the permanent managerial role at Joie Stadium.

Cushing previously served as manager from 2013 to 2020, winning five trophies, and returned in March following the sacking of Gareth Taylor.

"I've really enjoyed this period. It's been challenging but it's also been really enjoyable. I spent December [to] February without a team and one thing I've learned about myself is I'm happy in a team."

While Saturday's meeting with Crystal Palace could be his final WSL game in charge of City, Cushing is determined to have a coaching role lined up before next season.

He added: "I'm really motivated to continue to be successful, coaching and being around players, planning big games – I've been at home in that moment.

"Post this, who knows. But my desire and intention is to be with a team from pre-season."

  9. 'There is life after relegation'published at 12:12 British Summer Time 10 May

Crystal Palace manager Leif Smerud says there is "life after" relegation and his players should not be too downhearted about dropping out of the Women's Super League.

Palace's debut top-flight campaign will ends at Man City today, with their relegation already confirmed two weeks ago.

But Smerud says there is still optimism in the camp and that the team is looking forward to a fresh start in the Championship next season.

"The experience of relegation shows there is a life after," he said. "For teams facing the relegation monster, you think it is really bad. But a new chapter starts, the team has a lot to play for.

"It is not difficult to motivate players, everyone is looking forward to starting a new season."

Man City v Crystal Palace (12:30 BST)

Man City started the campaign as favourites to challenge Chelsea in the title race, having lost out on goal difference last season. But it's very much become a season to forget.

They lost the League Cup final to Chelsea and were then eliminated in the Champions League quarter-finals by the Blues, and then they were dumped out of the FA Cup by neighbours Manchester United.

To top it off, a fourth placed finish in the WSL means they won't have European football next term either.

For Crystal Palace, they were expected to struggle in their debut season in the top flight, but it has been tougher than even the most pessimistic fan could have predicted.

Just two wins and 18 goals scored across their 21 matches so far this season has seen them go straight back down to the second tier with a whimper.

Brighton are looking to end a stunning season on a high today.

The Seagulls finished ninth last term and are now on course for fifth spot.

They have already secured nine more points and could turn that into 12 with a win at Villa Park this afternoon.

  13. The battle for second placepublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 10 May

Arsenal and Man Utd have already secured their places in the WSL's top three alongside Chelsea, but who finishes where is still to be decided.

The Gunners come into this game on the back of two defeats on the bounce and a win for Marc Skinners side will see them overtake Arsenal into second - giving them an advantage in Champions League qualifying rounds.

As champions, Chelsea automatically qualify for the new league phase, which will start in October and feature 18 teams, replacing the old group stages.

Whoever finishes second in the WSL will enter in September's final qualifying round, while the third-placed team must go into the second round of qualifying in August.

However, Arsenal will still have a chance to qualify automatically for the league phase - if they beat Barcelona in the Champions League final on 24 May.

  14. Spurs 'not ready for the next step' this seasonpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 10 May

    Everton v Tottenham (12:30 BST)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham were "not ready to take the next step" in the Women's Super League this season, according to manager Robert Vilahamn.

After a top-half finish last season, Spurs are currently 10th in the WSL and have failed to win in their last 10 league games.

They visit Everton for the final match of a disappointing 2024-25 campaign, and Vilahamn admits his side were not good enough to build on their sixth place last year.

"When you look into this season, we were perhaps not ready to take the next step as an organisation and as players," he said.

"Losing key players and staff made us lose games. We need to take the next step now, and be sharper in game management. We know what we need to work on."

  15. Everton quartet to leave at the end of the seasonpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 10 May

    Everton v Tottenham (12:30 BST)

    Everton

We've reached that point of the season where clubs begin to announce which players will be leaving at the end of their contracts.

Karole Olesen, Rikke Madsen, Maren Mjelde and Lauren Thomas will leave Everton at the end of June.

Danish midfielder Olesen, 20, is the longest serving of the quartet having joined from Fortuna Hjorring in the summer of 2023.

Madsen, 27, joined from US side North Carolina Courage in January 2024 and made her return to the side in March after giving birth.

Veteran former Chelsea defender Mjelde and ex-Blackburn winger Thomas arrived this season and have had limited playing time.

"I would like to thank all four players for their service throughout their time at Everton," said head coach Brian Sorensen.

"Karo, Ri, Maren and Thommo all immersed themselves into the culture at the club and were popular members of the squad.

"All four have contributed to our progress this season and leave with the best wishes of everyone at Everton."

Chelsea seem to have the right mentality but then the right group of individuals that are able to bring the group back, who are experienced. They were wanting everything and pushing to get to the Champions League final but then it's good for them to have that switch to focus back on the league. They still have the FA Cup final too.

    It is phenomenal, that mentality.

  17. 'We want to fight until the end'published at 12:01 British Summer Time 10 May

    Chelsea v Liverpool (12:30 BST)

    Chelsea

Chelsea will enjoy a trophy lift at Stamford Bridge today after winning the WSL last month, but their sights are set on an even more impressive accomplishment.

They've got the chance to become the first team to go unbeaten for the entirety of a 22-game WSL season.

Avoiding defeat against Liverpool today to become 'Invincible' would "mean a lot" to manager Sonia Bompastor.

"When you have this opportunity, to be that close to making history, you have to do it because it will stay forever," Bompastor said in her pre-match news conference.

The Chelsea boss said her team want to "fight until the end".

“We want to stay unbeaten in this league. Obviously we are champions and are really happy with that but we have the opportunity to make history by being invincible this season.

"That is a great opportunity to be a part of history. In terms of mentality, you just have to make sure in the last game of the league, in front of our fans at Stamford Bridge, you perform to get the three points.

"We could have let the last two games go as champions but that is not possible for us, we want to fight until the end."

  19. Can Villa end season on a high?published at 11:58 British Summer Time 10 May

Many expected Aston Villa to push on from their seventh place finish in the WSL last season but that hasn't quite been the case.

Villa are currently sat in ninth with 22 points but a win against Brighton will see them end the season on 25 - one more than last term.

It has been a turbulent campaign at times for both Leicester City and West Ham.

The former has battled a huge injury crisis throughout, only staving off relegation thanks to Crystal Palace's inability to keep pace at the bottom.

While the latter's slow start, just two wins from their opening ten, looked to have put them in a similarly sticky situation. However 15 points won from their past 11 matches has seen them climb up to sixth spot.

With stability slowly returning at Leicester and confidence flowing for West Ham, one last win for either side this afternoon would begin to sow further seeds of hope for the 2025-26 campaign.
