Why didn't Everton take this seriously? Moyes knows it's been 30 years since they've won a trophy doesn't he?

Sick of these defensive mistakes and complete lack of intensity. Honestly what is the team talk at the beginning of the game. Clueless.

    Tom, Chelsea fan

The incredible thing is, Lincoln beating this Chelsea side isn’t even a shock.

  7. 'Goal a reward for Lincoln's efforts'published at 20:47 BST 23 September

    HT: Lincoln City 1-0 Chelsea

    Jobi McAnuff
Former Crystal Palace and Reading winger on BBC 5 Live

It's as if Chelsea were not expecting what was going to come tonight, it's as if they were not prepared to face this type of football.

Lincoln have harried and hassled, they've pressured. They've been compact and really controlled Chelsea when they had the ball. And the goal was an absolute reward for their first half efforts.

  8. Postpublished at 20:47 BST 23 September

    Liverpool 1-0 Southampton

A timely goal for Alexander Isak in more ways than one as well because Hugo Ekitike was sent to warm up just moments before.

Will Isak be just getting 45 minutes tonight as he eases his way to full fitness?

    Alexander Isak (44 mins)

    Alexander Isak has arrived!

Moments after Southampton should have taken the lead it is Liverpool who get the opener.

It is poor from goalkeeper Alex McCarthy as his short pass is superbly intercepted by Federico Chiesa, who quickly picks out Isak to fire home.

Looks like Everton may suffer this season for their failure to sign a decent striker, yet again. No goals from any of their two strikers yet this season.

  14. Postpublished at 20:38 BST 23 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Southampton

I say that but Alexander Isak has just done really well down the left, winning the battle against two defenders before squaring into the box, but the ball is cleared.

  15. Postpublished at 20:37 BST 23 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Southampton

Early chance aside, Alexander Isak has been pretty quiet. The Southampton defence has done a good job limiting his opportunities to get onto the ball.
