This is the first Championship meeting between Ipswich and Coventry since 2011-12, a season in which the Tractor Boys completed a league double over the Sky Blues.
Coventry won their last league game against Ipswich in March 2020 – they haven’t won consecutive such games against them since winning three across 1994.
Ipswich lost their last league game on a Saturday to West Brom (2-0); the Tractor Boys last lost successive Saturday games in the Football League in January 2021.
Following successive wins over Millwall and Plymouth, Coventry are aiming to win three league games in a row for the first time since February.
Coventry haven’t lost any of their last 13 Football League away games against newly promoted sides since a 2-1 defeat to Forest Green Rovers in League Two in February 2018 (W9 D4).
