Sutton ended a run of 10 National League games without a win with a 2-1 victory over Eastleigh.
Sutton got the opening goal in the eighth minute when Nick Townsend palmed a save straight into the path of David Ogbonna, who was not to be denied from close range.
They doubled their advantage just after the half-hour mark as Lewis Simper combined with Ashley Nadesan before the former finished expertly past Townsend.
Eastleigh halved the deficit after Aaron Pierre was brought down inside the box and Ciaran McGuckin tucked away the resulting penalty.
