There was hurt when Brendan Rodgers returned.

This team was going places and then suddenly he left mid-season. If he left at the end, the way Ange Postecolgou did, it wouldn't have had such an impact.

I know why he left. He went down to a big team in England, those opportunities don't come too often.

Some fans found it difficult to accept. The more they see the way they played tonight, they'll hope he can build on this.

Rodgers has got over the negativity.

    FT: Kilmarnock 0-5 Celtic

A bit more from a delighted Brendan Rodgers.

"People maybe judged the team going all the way back to August, such negativity around the team and performance level. Once we got the fitness levels of important players back, the football elevated itself.

"We stayed focused and believed in what we were doing. There was a lot of pressure on the players, but you only need to look at the results and the performances to see how they coped with that.

"It means a lot. There were question marks over me. Was I good enough to be here? Could I manage this team? Could I get them to play the level of football expected?

"If you doubt it can be an issue for you, but I never had any doubts this season. As the season has gone on we've got better and better.

"I'm so pleased for the supporters. Over these last few months we've all come together."

  5. 'We wanted to sprint over the line'published at 22:23 15 May

    FT: Kilmarnock 0-5 Celtic

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Scotland: "Our performance level was immense, this was always going to be a really tough game. Especially on this surface.

"Everything I want in the team, technique, speed, power, mobility, creativity, it was all there.

"Overall, a brilliant team performance and a great way to clinch the title. We wanted to sprint over the line and we went over it really quickly tonight."

    Michael Stewart
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

Brendan Rodgers is a top class, elite manager.

He's done it everywhere he's been. He came to Celtic and took them to a different level.

The one thing that will irk him is that he hasn't been able to have a real impact in Europe with Celtic.

    That's the next step.

Hands up who remembers Brendan Rodgers' first competitive match with Celtic. Yes, that's right a 1-0 defeat to Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar in July 2016.

He went on to oversee an unbeaten league campaign, amassing 106 points.

In the next season, the winning total was down to 82 points.

They can get to 93 this time if they beat St Mirren at home on Saturday.

    Tom English

Celtic were a joy to watch in that first period. They were absolutely terrific.

It hasn't gone all their own way this season, they've had to grind for it.

This is a big night for them. It means all the more because they really had to work for this.

Injuries, lack of form, their manager and their fans berating them at times.

But they got the job done.

"Kilmarnock have done brilliantly this season, but I thought we were on top of our game.

"I believe in the players. From a management perspective, there's been so much to manage.

"There's been so many issues, some real tedious stuff. It's been a great learning season.

"When the pressure's been on, they've got the performances and the results."

  18. FULL-TIME Aberdeen 5-1 Livingstonpublished at 21:45 15 May

A thumping second-half display from Aberdeen as they come back from a goal down to sign off their home campaign in style.

Tete Yengi's penalty was lifted expertly into the roof of the net but Aberdeen looked determined to atone for a slew of first-half missed chances.

Junior Hoilett levelled with a stunning free-kick with the hosts going ahead through captain Graeme Shinnie's header.

Dante Polvara swept his side further ahead followed by Hoilett's second of the game from close range.

Fletcher Boyd, 16, then drove to the edge of the Livingston area and scored his second in as many games.

  20. FULL-TIME Hibernian 3-0 Motherwellpublished at 21:43 15 May

    A rout at Easter Road.

Hibs - seeking a fifth manager in three years - blow Motherwell away in perfunctory fashion.

Myziane Maolida won and scored a penalty before setting up Martin Boyle in the final minutes of the first half.

Boyle added another early in the second, and Hibs could have netted more late on.

They leapfrog Motherwell into eighth place, and ensure Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson a taste of victory in their last home match.
